Got a response from Asmus the other day about the replacement head sculpt for Frodo:

"We are still working out the details and will make an official announcement when we are ready."

Glad they're looking into it! Hopefully it'll be released soon and the collection will be as good as it can be!

Yeah, its likely going to be some time before they are ready. The Big Chief replacement Bond heads took a good 8 months to get sorted out and delivered.

But I'm glad you checked in; I was curious where they were in the process myself.

With their new and improved website on the way, the order confirmation e-mails we got for Thorin and what seems like a bit more participation on the boards these days ... Asmus seems to be stepping up their communication these days. Which is always a good thing.

He is a great representation of Frodo ... except for the pale complexion and dark eyes. Yes, I know, not beating a pale dead horse with dark eyes. But other than that -- the pale complexion and dark eyes -- -- he's a great little figure.

I kind of wish I had gotten the Elven cloak now though. That said, the Hobbit cloak is such a vivid emerald green that it does pop on the shelf.

Both my Frodos are using the Hobbit traveling cloaks. They do pop with that green! Love them.

Yeah. I'm thinking I'll have Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli with the Elven cloaks -- to unite the 3 amigos -- and leave Frodo in his own cloak with Gandalf.
