Since a 1/6 Balrog would essentially be human-sized, maybe I'll just find myself an orange and black leotard to wear when I'm posing the figure!

I'm tempted by this figure but I'm not feeling that head sculpt, the one originally shown was literally perfect...easily Hot Toys quality if not better so why did they change it?!?! Or maybe they didn't and it's the severe paint job that we are seeing here? I dunno, either way the rest of the figure and its accessories are fantastic, if it's just the paint job I guess I can have him repainted but it's still such a shame they went away from that original sculpt

Hmmm I wonder if I could make my kids rotate being the Barlog. They might be too small to be an actual 1/6 Barlog but I think it will still be an impressive display.

That's not exactly correct.
They said that if you bought Gandalf the White and you buy this Gandalf the Grey, then -- and only then -- will they send you the upgraded White head.
My interpretation is that you need to have proof of purchase for both figures first... so the upgrade will provided at a later date. Plus they haven't even shown the upgraded head yet.

Your'e absolutely right.
I believe they told that you will have to make a picture of GtG certificate in front of your GtW figure (because it did not have any certificates or so). But it will be available somewhere during summer. I really hope they could ship it before September.

Thsi is also what's stopping me from buying this figure. The head sculpt currently looks like they aged GTG like the old mad Theoden look. If Asmus just stayed with a younger looking face, this would be a slam dunk.
Funny, that's exactly what I started typing the other day. Then I googled some pictures to refresh my memory and thought that might be a bit of an exaggeration. But yeah, that was still one of the first things that popped into my mind.
