It looks like Asmus may have added more to their online store. I jumped on one there just now because I'd rather order straight from Asmus over BBTS.

Yeah, what is it with the absolutely atrocious initial photos taken with an iPhone 3 (with like, every new figure)? This thing looks spectacular in any of the photos where even the slightest bit of care was put in both in photography and futzing. Anybody who's been in this hobby for even a short while should know this by now...

Also on the topic of the pipe, is it not like, right there in the picture of the trays?

Hi，i just sharing photo without touch up( mostly from china first batch owner), this consider the best 1/6 gandalf figure in market, is good , but it can be better XD~ all 1st batch owner didnt received the pipe, asmus reply them due to copyright issue...the photo you circle, i think is eye adjuster tool....i got pre order too, abit worrying...

Exactly what I'm saying. Either he has no clue. Or the sense of entitlement is staggering.

I think it?s a combination of both with a little ignorance mixed in.
Ignorance in the sense that doesn?t realize the majority of us are happy with this product and how it's turned out. Quality and serious bag for our buck. A proper rooted head with moving eyes, good diorama base, and some accessories.
I have two completely custom figures with another in progress and each figure cost a lot.
I was recently quote $1200 for a head sculpt off a top artist for a one off head.
So I appreciate the value and quality of the product Asmus are giving us.

Does anyone understand you have to futz anymore? I mean now we just rip it out of the box, take some terrible iPhone pics and post it for views?

For real! It's getting really old to have to suffer with these terrible out of box initial photos that these ppl post just to be first. I'm pretty good at futzing and posing but I can't take good pic of these figures to save my life, even with my phone which is why I don't share any. It would do so many great looking figures a disservice like what these initial pics do to this Gandalf.

I just PO’d as well but I’m curious... did you get a confirmation email? I didn’t...just a PayPal receipt. Hoping it’s not a glitch and it got through. I’m keeping my BBTS preorder just in case haha

Not entirely sure how BBTS do that. I?ve not ordered from them before, but I heard that shipping is expensive to anywhere outside the US and import fees on top... So buying direct from Asmus is often free shipping, sometimes you can ask them to amend the shipping value to avoid import fees and you tend to get the item a lot quicker!

I fail to see what your purpose is here. I get you?re not satisfied with the end product. That?s fine and all. Then you boldly exclaim that you?re done with it and out of $20 as if you?re championing some cause here. THEN, because a few posters here are kinda taking jabs at you, and In order to save face and internet pride, you offer your PO# for someone to take...which I don?t think Asmus will honor because...no one does things like that I guess?

Dude, chill out. Just go through the normal channels and email Asmus to cancel. We get it. You don?t like the figure.

But read the room man. We?re excited. So far the ONLY great pics of Gandalf have come from Asmus themselves because the in hand photos suck @$$.

Always PO Asmus products directly from Asmus my friend.

They’ve never failed me once. Not to mention you get figures much earlier than from BBTS or SSC.

Awesome! I emailed them the other day and they said some more might come in stock once they start shipping. Glad I didn't miss this window, just locked in my order as well! Didn't get a confirmation either though, and it doesn't show up in my account. I just got the paypal receipt. I do have the order number, so I'll get in contact with their CS just in case.

It's great that Asmus will be offering the sculpt separately here, but I fear that will be hard to get. Based on the overwhelming response here, some wanting a second (and some select few even already talking about flipping), I didn't want to take that risk. It seems that the sculpt alone is worth paying the $350. And I hope there were some more updates to the body and clothing compared to the V1.

still not confirm whether got or no pipe for international buyer...currently just confirm not available for first batch china buyer...

Don't misunderstood ya, I am not criticized this figure, those photo are from other forum..just to show pic without touch up and with flash or natural light...it is still a good 1/6 figure...
