On their facebook page people have been asking about Gothmog, and here is what ASMUS has said in reply to some poster asking about Gothmog.
Gothmog is about to ship, almost packing now. All the delay happened in the factory end, we have looked seriously into it, and figured out the problem, this should be improved greatly on Gandalf this time.

I guess its good news... but sounds like Gothmog will still have a "problem" that will only get sorted out with Gandalf.
Likely the low presales for Gothmog didn't inspire much effort to solve this issue... but certainly they expect Gandalf to be a big seller.

Not sure. If it was on the factory end then I'm guessing that.
How do we find out if there were low pre-sales for Gothmog? Witch-King hasn't even sold out.
Alot of people here who got WK passed on Gothmog, so one can make the arguement that Gothmog will have lower sales based on this sampling.

Swee. Got $100 of credit at bbts I'm hoping will go towards Gothmog.
Hopefully this will improve with in hand reports. Want this to be a success.
If Gothmog has a bad body, Asmus will be looking a serious problems with future sales.
As it is, the figures are slow coming and there is only one movie left to release. I hope they don't do what SSCs did and let the hype die all the way down before they make a good run on this line.

Hobbit movies don't really have anything to do with these figures. ASMUS only has the LOTR license.

Read some bad news on FB. Can't quote it directly but someone on FB asked about the body that is supposed to ship with Gothmog. As of now, if I read it correctly, it's not going to happen, at least at this moment. I guess the modification of the Kaustik body is really throwing a wrench in the plans right now.
I wasn't really counting on that 2nd replacement body to be honest. Even if I got it not sure I want to go through the full undressing of my WK now that I have him futzed where I want him.
I'd prefer a discount on an upcoming figure for those who got the WK.

Two figures within 3 months of each other is "slow coming"??
Asmus did only promise 5 total figures per year on this license. So that's about 1 figure every 2 and a half months or so. They seem to be right on target.
I don't mind the wait in between it gives my wallet time to get ready.
