Thank you @sixxshooter, you are going to love this figure.... The magnet did detatch from inside the head I just glued it back in, just something to watch for

I have the crazy glue ready . Just in case . Your not the first to have that problem .I've had it happen to a couple of Hot toys figures as well . Thanks for the heads up .

Yeah, I always expect to have to do some kind of minor repairs. I've needed to do some sort of minor fix on about half of the figures I've bought over the years, Sideshow through Hot Toys.

Yeah I usually expect magnets to need reglueing, hope everyone is enjoying this figure, it is really a beauty (well, you know what I mean)

One other thing to watch for is, make sure the front tip of the crown is not bent or broken off of the figure. I have been noticing that on a few pictures that have been posted on here and other forums.

Got mine today from Timewalker. WOW!!!! What a figure.

I want to send out a deep THANK YOU to mah45 for the heads up on the crown tip that might be broken off. Mine was and I found it and fixed it no problem.

To be really honest - I did not exactly like all the pics I saw of this and came to the conclusion the upper part of the figure was simply too slight in the shoulders and chest and was thinking of putting it up for resale on eBay. But after seeing it assembled and displayed with my large Sauron bust and gauntlet with the One Ring - it simply looks amazing and nobody is getting this guy away from me.

Now for a silly question. I see the support stand is the same as always and is made to go under the crotch of a normal standing figure to help support it. But the directions they give with it seem to show it going under neath the belly of the horse - which is fairly impossible. Is there any actual way this is suppose to be used with the horse other than completely twisting the cup portion and possible scratching the daylights out of the figure itself?

The steed seems to stand very well on its own and does not need the support if it is not necessary.

The one thing I would have changed is to have the mithril shirt for his hand not holding the reins. That would have been great. But over all just a great figure with an amazing presence.

No problem, gideon, Just wished they could of made the helmet part metal instead of that soft material.

@cmiller99 thanks so much :)
@gideon I just used the stand between the hind legs for added support....seems to do something I think

Got this guy today !! [emoji3][emoji3] The Box he comes in is huge . It really increased the excitement opening him up . About the same size as the Iron monger box . First impressions of the figure are really great . Amazing paint job on all the mouth pieces and helmet did not have the broken spike in the front . 5 out of 5 with the Head sculpt . WARNING - the magnet that holds the mouth sculpts in came out so be careful when switching out . Also make sure you glue the magnet back on the the head the correct way . Only 1 side of the magnet sticks , the other side repels . I'm a idiot , I glued it on the wrong way so all the sculpts were not staying put. I had to reverse all the mouth magnets . [emoji849][emoji107]. Just be careful . Have not taken the horse out yet . Gave him a quick look and looks very nice . I'll update with pics soon .

this looks like it very well could be the figure of the year for me! definitely my next purchase.

I agree, mouth of sauron, probably Gandalf (hope to get him soon) and the jeerer (unrelated to lotr) are my favorite figures this year

I knew this was going to be my first asmus figure, but after seeing the issues that plagued some of their earlier releases i decided to hold of untill i saw some in hand pics and opinions. Needless to say, the testimonials here convinced me and i placed my order at Asmus's website a couple days ago. The only thing now is waiting for them to send me my tracking number, how long does that usually take?

Nice pics, sixxshooter.

Mine shipped faster than expected -- delivery date just changed from Weds to tomorrow! :yess:

Bad news is I'm moving so likely I won't be able to futz this guy the way I want until well after Oct 1. Took me a long time to do the Nazgul and steed too I think. This one definitely deserves some quality time.

Mouth Received!!!!

Getting too dark for any good photos... and there's so much to unpack and look at; it is a bit overwhelming.... in a good way.

But first impressions: amazing set!!!

I think the horse looks insane, and I prefer the new body. It is going to be fun to futz this massive thing. After I watch that scene about a hundred times.

The Mouth itself is crazy cool too. Always such a bizarre character for the few seconds he's on but he's just so memorable and distinctive. I got lucky -- no broken spikes. When I took him out to inspect, something large and heavy fell out -- I freaked -- but it was just his stirrup bundle. :lol

I love the little hidden leather jerkin he's wearing -- very S&M. And the detailed ribbing on the "scarf" over his crown is incredible. I didn't take much of the plastic off yet. He's back in his box until I have a full day to work with him.

Since I'm moving in a month or so, I'm thinking I'll save the true "Nazgul" style futzing for the new home. But I do want to get all that plastic off and see this gem in more detail.

10 years from now, this is going to be one of those "unusual pieces" that you just never see revisited by other companies. A true one-of-a-kind 1/6th figure. I'm really curious to know what these will be going for in 10 years.

Mouth on his steed will bookend nicely with my Nazgul on his steed.
