Believe or not,
I have finally got my copy,
so I took the liberty and use company photo room took this photo~
My first try on DSLR camera...
Non photoshoped (because I don't know how...)
and KING GEORGE is me~
Well George, yours definitely has better paintjob than mine, especially on the steed's head armor. You got a nice rusty color there, mine's flat and looks plasticky.
Yea and his has the slice in the face? Maybe the horse from the box set is different than the stand alone one?
Yep, that one has. Just rechecked mine, and nope, don't see any. If there is, it's covered by the flocks. If the steed is indeed different with the boxset one, they should mention it in the preorder details, so we won't have high hopes with the wounded steeds..
Or it's just because King George has served Lord Asmus so well, that he deserved the best steed.. who knows.
do you mean the slice of wound on the face?
it is sculpted, no reason it aint there
They're not though, they've been around for years.
I think it could be argued that SST is still not there.Well, what I mean is, they're still pretty new to this sort of thing. At least at this level.
And, to be fair, it also took Hot Toys (and Sideshow) several years before they got to the level they're at now. There seems to be a bit of a learning curve to this stuff.
And I'm really happy they're as open with us about that learning curve as they've been. It buys them a lot more patience in my eyes.
the armor is not as good as yours with that rusty finishing.
Pretty sure that "rust" you see on the armor in George's pics is from a light source.
I tried it with bright light, took few pics, but nope, no rust effect.
Maybe I just got a bad head armor that's all.
No, no -- George's studio has a warm "orange" bulb to create that orangey edge light. Look at the pics, the "rust effect" keeps changing positions. Look at the leg armor on the Nazgul.
