Thanks guys.

Flosi- its about 1/2". Ill take some comparison pics with another figure when I get home.

Now that I have the height, Im going to add some to the back to make him a little thicker in the chest. I have him on a small shelf that sticks out from the wall in my hallway and so you see his profile more then the front view and he looks a little thin.
Good thing about a crappy body is no fear of tearing it up.

Do you think a body swap with a SS Vader is possible? I have a modded (torso section taken out) body just sitting.

I don't see why not. Only questionable part is will the ankle, wrist and head joints connect. Everything else is just clothing.

I picked up my vader body from the box as I stripped my Witchking for a water treatment.
The swap can be made with no problems for wrists (Vader's original pegs fits Asmus soft hands) but everything else must be adjusted: Vader's head ball is smaller than Asmus (so it must be substituted with a bigger one), ankle attachment is completely different (Witchking balljoint is attached to the feet, Vader has the classical SSC joint) and the tight armor has some difficulties going up Vader's body calf. Also Vader's shoulders are much wider...I don't know if the final results can be good.
Meanwhile here's a couple of pics of my repaint with natural daylight:

I metalized the whole armor a bit, with a random rusty effect. Also I remade the whole leg weathering adding some dirt to the scabbard too.

Edit: here's the comparison between tapeless Witchking KP body (which is different from regular cause it's neckless and height adjusted via knee extender) and SSC Vader's unmodded one.

As I said, main issues for a swap are neck and ankles (and shoulders, to be honest).

There is a barbell type connector between the chest and stomach. Remove the chest.
Cut connector.
Cut brass tubing that is the same length as the connector plus the extension length.
Brass should be sized as close to the diameter as you can.
Put the two cut ends of the connector into the tubing.
Check length.
Glue the connectors into the tubing.
Create a doughnut of sorts to fill in the gap between the chest and stomach. Should fit snug to help keep the torso from flopping.

Finished mine all up on Friday. I'll take pics this week and do a review but overall I'm really pleased. Asmus must be pissed at the folks from KP. They really made a wonderful 1/6th scale figure only to have the overall quality take a hit because of the poor body.

Anyway, I didn't do a thing to the body on mine. I stripped the whole thing down, soaked all the clothing in water and put it all back on. The only item I ended up modding was the extra sleeve layer. Instead of taking it off like Robbie I just ripped it all the way up to the band which exposes the armor but still gives the benefit of the extra tattered layer of clothing.

Finally BBTS is ready to process my order. Paid yesterday, now waiting for the shipping notice....

Regardless of their honoring the price, I may switch my Gothmog order... I just can't wait for them, they take too long.

Does anyone else have issues to remove the pegs from the hand? They seem to be glued in o_O

I'm not sure what the deal is. My order with BBTS has shown that it has been in the warehouse awaiting shipping since last Thursday.:dunno I don't recall any previous orders that I had with them taking so long to ship after being processed. I wonder if they are inspecting the bodies?

I just got my shipping notice from them this morning. Probably means yours will ship today too.

I'm in Cali so it will likely take a full week to get to me, maybe Sat if I'm lucky.

This figure looks great, but the body really sucks imo.. Mine can't even keep the weight of his own arm up without holding anything, let alone holding the mace or sword :/ Mine also came with some of the helmed spikes twisted in an L shape, luckily it's metal so I could just bend them the right way..

Just giving mine the once over. It looks really cool. Will try to set it up and give further thoughts soon.
