Just discovered this by happenstance, went ahead to read on about it and p/o it. So has the body issue on this been resolved since they're up for p/o again? Bbts shows its on a kaustic plastik body, thought those were fairly decent? what were the first runs of this on? Looks great, cannot wait to own one and the horse set.

From BBTS' newsletter

We have just located a small quantity of the Morgul Lord figure from Asmus.

It says nothing about a new body, it's old stock. If it was a new version, Asmus would've mentioned it here, and it would be up for pre-order at all retailers.

Asmus DID mention it kinda. The rep said they had held back an amount and were planning something and I could be wrong but either they're coming with the new body or something else. The rep was vague in the questions thread. If this was existing stock it wouldn't be for PREORDER.

*from the Rep in questions thread

We will have 250 pc Morgul Lord with the new body sold again with the special event. Everything else will be exactly the same, so need to buy it if you already own a Morgul Lord,

I think this is a different thing, though. Asmus did say they were going to do a limited re-release of the WitchKing (with the new body, I think) as a set with a severed Fell Beast head. They showed an in-progress sculpt of the head. But I don't think that's happening until after Eowyn is released.

The figures that BBTS is talking about, I'm assuming, are some extras of the first release and not part of anything special.

Just my guess.

Yes, it would.

Here's what happened. . . someone wanted to unload their existing Morgul Lord stock and offered it to BBTS. BBTS is putting it up for pre-order, and they'll order from this existing supplier, what they need to cover those pre-orders.

BBTS's system is either IN-STOCK or PRE-ORDER. If it's not in their warehouse, it's not IN STOCK, therefore it's a PRE-ORDER.

just got morgul lord yesterday. i try to pose his arm with the sword above his head, but the arm keep falling down. the best i can do is pose the arm in the mid air.
any tips how to hold the arm and sword above his head?

oo damn i miss the PO on eowyn. will ask asmus if they can accommodate the replacement. nevertheless Morgul is pretty solid piece i glad i have this.

There are plenty of wails to make his articulation more reliable . Someone posted a tip for using thread on the joints, to make it tighter . You could also try glue, nail varnish, or styrofoam ( little bits in the joint).

Ugh... I LOVE this Witch King figure and want to own it again, but I just can't sucked into the asmus line, which is why I sold it in the first place. Depending on how the fell beast turns out I may justify just that and this piece, but I really want the Morgul Lord PF and/or the weta piece.

Definitely. I loved it. It has an amazingly menacing presence. The helmet is done REALLY well, and the helmet is what really makes Witch King. It does require quite a bit of futzing though to look it's best. I fully recommend it and like I said, only reason I am trying not to buy it again and sold it in the first place is to make my LotR/Hobbit collection only statues.
