Im surprised they did this time era. Theres soo many they could have done set before this. Victorian England was my hopes.

Also i thought the 3rd was gonna all be set in modern tmes with desmond

It's interesting, but I can't help but think they skipped a huge amount of history that would have been interesting as well. Plus, his costume design is too similar to the other ones

I am curious what you feel they skipped. I can't really think of anything from early 1500s to late 1700s that would warrant a game.

PS....I really really really really really really really hope they ditch the Tower Defense Mini-Game, that made me want to kill myself

I wonder if the freemasons have anything to do with the story. That'd be kinda cool.

I can see the Assassins helping the US Colonies but have no direct connection to the founding fathers. As for the Templars being apart of the British Monarcy isnt a stretch as they have worked with Templar Knights in the past

Tomahawk, Flintlock pistol, and a bow. This game's tools of destruction is gonna be awesome.

Wonder if the play mechanics will change a bit to compensate for the new weapons.

Well with how Altair and Ezio are not related at all, they could do the same thing with a Japanese line that somehow gets tied into Desmond but it is distant enough that he doesn't have to resemble a Japanese person.

Well....going from a Syrian Altair to an Italian Ezio isn't that far out of the realm of possibility, but to throw in a Japanese guy is pretty out there.......Then again I suppose Desmond's Assassin ancestor could have gone over to Japan to help the Japanese Assassins and mates with a Japanese girl.

All the pervious locations are part of western culture and all of them have a Christian past. The jump to Japan would be kind of a reach and make a Templar tie in virtually impossible without creating a false historal story to start with.

Sort of diappointing this game is set in America.
The overwhelming vast majority of games are set there. That was one of the things that set Assassins Creed apart from the pack.
And not just America but away from the Western English world in general.

Japan has been one of the big rumors since the first game. And as one of the countries that actually did have formal sects of assassins it would fit into that world well.

Still very much interested in the game due to the supposed 3 year development time. Revelations was really starting to show its age so a massive redevelopment should hopefully freshen things up a lot.

As a brit i don't really wanna play a game where were casted as the bad guys.

Should be cool, dunno about the freerunning and climbing unless they take it to the largest colonies.

I don't know too much about american history but wasn't the stars & stripes flag commisioned by George Washington quite a while after the revolution and the native american conflicts?
