If you're looking on your iPhone or iPad it sure does look shady but once I got on my laptop where flash is in full force, it looked just fine

as an example, this is kind of what the page looked like when viewing on my phone :lol
o-WWW-570.jpg

no i looked on my PC , it has no pics of the figure besides the 2 we seen , they want a full deposit for a pre-order without seeing the damn thing :lol

They are already using so many logos and protected trademarks, I'm not sure why they just don't put the Ubisoft one on there as well :D

I know someone said this already, but these guys have some serious stones to call their body the "Firefigures True Type"

Yeah, someone said this earlier

Fire = Hot

Figures = Toys

hhhmmm.... :lol

i think i was one within the 100...but i'm having a hard time pulling the trigger...:-/..

I'm in the same boat...

They have all the new pics up on the site, there's like 15 pics :dunno

The pics are on a separate page here It's using some weird jQuery plugin, so you either see small pictures, or giant blown-up full screen pixelated pics.

Also, just for ****s and giggles, I emailed Ubisoft's US office a few minutes ago, just asking what they knew about it and got a response from them, he was on his iPhone, which I thought was pretty cool. He said "We're looking into it. Thanks for the heads up". . . so, sorry if my email gets these guys shut down, but haha. . . I don't think they're legit.

Overall though, unlicensed figures are common, it's the fact that their website and this whole operation looks shady that is the real bother here, not that it's unlicensed.

Well folks on Facebook are now starting to question them...someone posted this on their site

Clearly states that Ubisoft does not approve of this and asked Fire figures to close their FB. I would be careful here, sounds way too fishy. https://jveronworld.blogspot.sg/2013/04/firefigures-legit-or-not-not.html

well then I guess that answers the licensing question. Thanks for posting :hi5: Still even if they aren't licensed, we could still get them at places like BBTS (unless they get shut down of course :lol)

Yeah, I was particularly grateful to Devil for including that one.:drool :lol

cheers to Devil then :duff :yess:

I've taken the punt...so we will see but it seems pretty similar to the metal boss figures so far. At least I can raise claim via PayPal if it goes south.

I went ahead & purchased. In my PayPal notes to seller, I wrote that if I don't quality for the bonus item, then cancel my order. I emailed them about that 1st 100 thing earlier in April, but I didn't get a reply. I'm kinda counting on my PayPal protection window on this one. In case it's dodgy. Which it kinda looks to be. But what if it's not? Don't want to miss out.

It's seemed pretty clear from the beginning these weren't official, or we would have seen Ubisoft logos on every photo they've posted. It's not like 3rd Party/Unofficial 1/6 scale figures are uncommon. Hell, some franchises have such strong unofficial products that they rival the official stuff (IE: Transformers). As long as they aren't knockoffs (IE crappily reproducing something that already exists and trying to pass it off as the original product) its worth giving them a chance and seeing what they can bring to the table. So I wouldn't bail on them purely because the figures aren't licensed. If I had the cash I'd be all over it.
