But I still think its really poor form how CH has been doing business. Seriously? eBay auctions of customs before the actual patrons get theirs? BOOOOOOOOOO!

Actually, they are getting them just about the same time. Please get your facts straight. I'm sending out Summer Glau heads and House heads concurrently. In fact, I decided to send heads out that are only half of some peoples orders so they get them now rather than waiting for the other stuff to be done. I will have to send the rest of the order when it is ready at my own expense.

Does that strike you as poor form?

You guys haven't heard from him in what.. around two weeks?

YOU are the reasons for the backed up pm's and failed e-mails, because you keep spamming him with stupid freakin questions like "are we there yet?"..

do we deserve more updates? yes. of course.

are we getting screwed? I don't think so. I think he's just busy. He clearly bit off way more than he could chew at this time. But then again, we all bombarded him with projects when he already makes a living with a very large workload for a job.

Chris has never been rude to me, and i always get an answer eventually. But i've learned not to rush it.

He said he was doing a production line on the house heads, which i assumed would take a little while, hence why i'm not frantic.

Police reports?
Little extreme in my opinion.
Customs are not exactly a fast thing all the time. Getting the police involved seems a little triggerhappy.

If a month goes by with no contact, i can see maybe getting upset. But we heard from him like two weeks ago.

I just think this is all getting a little over-dramatic.

And yes, i'm into him for a lot of moola too. So obviously i have my concerns as well. But some of you are acting pretty childish and contributing to fearmongering by ranting and raving.

You don't have a clue what transpired before the guy felt it was necessary to call the police, so don't judge him.

This situation has been deteriorating for a lot longer than two weeks. Chris has a history going back to last fall of cutting contact with people after taking their money. Multiple people have shared with me the exact same story, so there is something to it.

It's too late to pretend their aren't problems with Chris. The best we can hope for now is that he re-establishes contact and a timeline can be drawn up for completion of projects. The longer this process takes because people like you want to defend his actions, the worse and more dramatic it becomes.

Hi Chris, I don't think it helps your cause very much to come in here and come across so arrogant about it all. People are asking legitimate questions, people have legitimate concerns. I don't think it helps at all to try to prove to them that they are so lucky to be graced by your sculpting talents or that you have bigger comissions elsewhere.



Simple questions like...

Why are you selling sculpts on ebay that should've been delivered to customers here months ago?

If you're getting all these emails as you've just claimed, why not post updates here?



I'm not trying to discredit your work in any way, but people do have some legit complaints!

Yeah, and some of them are contacting law enforcement to get it...I'd be a bit concerned about that if I were you.
 
I think you have a lot to answer for Chris. I am not going to suddenly dance for joy because you posted, and I hope others here don't either. I have been putting up with you saying you were going to post updates about the Maximus project for a couple of months, and every time you don't. You have a not so recent history of bad communication and it's time for it to stop.

So have you shipped any unpainted House head and cane sets or not? How come people have not come forward to claim they have received them?

I agree. I too would like to see those of us who paid all along get ours first. But it was never a secret that he was selling things on e-bay.

I can understand people being upset. I too have had to temper my patience and just let things happen. But causing more crap to deal with, like this whole drama, and spamming e-mails and pm's and stuff only makes it worse. I don't exactly think Chris is following the perfect business model.. but then again, i knew he was doing this in his spare time, as did everyone else. And so i came to expect that responses would be slower at times.

Either way, i'm looking forward to my painted house head and cane. And if i'm as pleased with them as i think i will be, i'd give chris money all over again if i ever liked another project. Customs (i have learned) are a very hard project, and require some faith, and going out on a limb. It's always risky, but obviously we like a little risk here! :)

What would be the purpose of taking money from somebody for a head and then making them wait for theirs while you sell & deliver others on Ebay?

I can totally understand why somebody would have a problem with that You just don't expect that type of service, especially from a guy like Chris who hangs out on the forum with us and came across as a fellow fan.

What the heck? I logged on to make some updates and I see this? If someone had had the courtesy to email me using a simple subject line like "hello"( like I kept posting and asking folks to do due to the hardcore SPAM filters I had to erect in order to try and mange the THOUSANDS of Russian SPAM emails that are being bounced back to me on a daily basis) so their email would get through to me to let me know about this paranoia, I would have appreciated it. I still get dozens of emails a day that I have to answer, so I know you can get one through! In fact, I got one yesterday that just said "test". Was that someone here? Well, Test works!

Get a free email account at hotmail or gmail. I am not accepting this as an excuse any more. If I can't contact you, and have you respond you can send me a refund right now.

The reason I do the custom work is that I have a passion for this stuff. And I thought I had a lot of friends here that would appreciate the kind of professional quality that I bring to the table. I wish I could survive only doing custom work, but the reality is that I simply cannot. I have to feed my family with the soul crushingly boring run of the mill toy work.

Your quality is professional. Your communication is laughable. If you have nothing new to show, stop promising you will and then not delivering. Just be honest and say you haven't made any progress. But say something. The truth is always nice.

It's fine to say you are backlogged but then to disappear, and you DID disappear, is wrong.

OK, I'm trying to be discreet. I'm not about screwing with peoples reputations like some are. The person you are referring to has an ax to grind. And has been engaging in less than savory behavior that is somewhat more criminal than what you have been lead to believe about me. Yet you don't hear me identifying and badmouthing him. I could reveal some things, but, for now, I remain restrained in this matter. I tend not to be vindictive.

And I haven't cut off contact with anyone. I have posted AGAIN and AGAIN how to send me a simple email.

Being naive in these matters, I stupidly openly posted my email in the forums. Apparently this is unwise because Spammers look for addresses to hijack. This has happened to me. I get THOUSANDS of emails bounced back to me from Russian Spammers who have used my addresses as their return address. It would be one thing to try and block the actual SPAM itself. Make a filter for "Cheap Watches" right? But I'm getting not the actual SPAM, but the responses to SPAM which comes in more varieties than you can possibly imagine from all over the world. It's been an eye opening event.

So, my SPAM filters are, shall we say, somewhat robust. I couldn't tell you how many I have.

That's why I ask (dare I say it again? Again and Again) for folks to use a simple subject line like "Hello" when emailing me. My only other option is to drop my domain which, as you can imagine, I'm not particularly happy about doing.

I've explained this ad nauseam, why don't folks listen? I really don't understand.

So, here I am "re-establishes contact" though I didn't realize I had ever severed it. Just working around the clock as I have mentioned.

BTW, those who are about to receive the aforementioned orders, I hope you enjoy them. As always, I put my utmost into the product.

I want a deadline set for completion of the Maximus project, and I want updated photos of everything you have completed for the project.

I also want to know when you shipped my House head and cane set. If you have not, I want to know when I can expect it to ship.

I tried to get this information by email, but your account was down for a week and a half, and finally after it came back up and I sent one per your instructions my email went through. You have not responded yet. There are a lot of unhappy customers here in multiple commission threads who are waiting for updates that are weeks and months late. You owe us better than that, and if you don't feel like you want to deliver I will take a refund.
