Some of the folk deserve raises. If its true Renner made less than 5 mil, he needs to ask for a raise. There have been new actors get paid that for their first movie. Wonder what they paid ScarJo?

Renner had no more than 12 minute of screen time. I think 5M is more than enough money.

Why would that make it a deal breaker?

From what I've read, the two new characters are brother and sister in the comics. You can take it from there.

I'd rather see the Black Panther, Ant-Man, or the Vision over the mutant siblings.

Well if it's true that RDJ is banding with the other actors to get their salaries raised then perhaps he should consider taking a little bit of a cut.

All of this was bound to happen with an ensemble cast in a HIGHLY successful environment. Take FRIENDS for example, which was widespread news at the time. Once the cast had finished the end of their contracts for the 2nd season in which each of the actors had different salaries from each other, they banded together and decided to negotiate a collective salary with the same amount for each of them. That continued until they were each making one million per episode for the last seasons.

Do the actors deserve a little more? Yeah...perhaps as that is the "standard" for the entertainment industry. But sheesh, I'd like to make 2-4 million bucks for being in a movie for little over half-an-hour. Even if I have to devote 2-3 months of my life being on-set. It's worth it!

This is the only time I've ever seen they made this much. Is it even true? If it is, looks like ScarJo got the shortest end of the stick.

Bonus might be tied into toy likenesses, etc and not salary. Who really knows without reading contracts.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are mutants...I believe that means the rights to their use belongs to Fox.

Actually, I think it's a weird case. They both have the rights to those two particular characters. So if fox wanted them in an xmen movie they could use them. If Marvel wants to put them in Avengers, they can. If they were in Avengers however, they wouldn't be able to make any mention of Magneto as their father.

Yeah, it has been made very clear in the past that they can be used in an Avengers movie. As strange as that may seem if they tried to use them in an X-men movie, too.

All that shows is that they got 5 well known actors for 25 mil. Screentime is not always indicative of work on a project. Thanks for the raw data though. From your respone, I don't think you understood what I posted anyways, I said he needs to ask for a raise, not ask for more money for what he done.

There's going to be a stand alone Ant-Man movie so I doubt it will happen in 2.

I think Emily Blunt would be a good Scarlet Witch since she missed out on playing Black Widow.

I do hope that they cast them around the same age as the rest of the cast. I don't think they should be teens.

Don't hold your breath. Now the rumor circulating around is that Hawkeye is going to be recast, which I think is stupid. Either let Renner play it or drop the character all together.

There are tons of rumors out there right now. Who knows what's true and what isn't. I guess until they get the contracts settled and they annouce the cast, we won't know for sure.
