That explains the villain looking like a *****.

No strings on me.

I didn't care for Whedon but I think I hate him now...

Well, he knows that Marvel will not feed him forever.
He need this "attention whore" stuff since he's not an awesome director nor some fat producer.

Respect is nothing where money is everything. Don't hate him for being hopelessly pathetic. :dunno

Well, this is all my fault but I accidentally read some spoilers about the film and now I'm worried as **** about some things in it. I'm sure I will still enjoy it but damn, what they did with some characters just irks me...

Hopelessly pathetic? Joss Whedon is one of the most talented storytellers out there.

As far as Marvel not feeding him forever? LOL. You really think if he would be willing to continue writing/directing movies for Marvel they wouldn't keep him at this point?

He has money already, if he wants to do his own thing now that he's done these films I can respect that. As a Buffy fan, I liked him before Avengers, and I'll keep an eye out for future projects of his.

He's not, get over it.

What money? In places like Hollywood you're not rich or anything unless you're one of top billing actors or running your own successful business.

I see. :lol

In YOUR opinion he isn't. In MY opinion he is. There's no need for me to "get over" anything.

I'm sure Joss Whedon made good money writing and directing Avengers and Avengers 2.

Buffy was not only a popular show, but overall quite praised for its characters and storytelling. You might not like the show, doesn't mean it wasn't good.

I don't understand how anyone can think Joss Whedon is a talented storyteller or a filmmaker. After Louis Leterrier, I'd say Whedon is the least talented directer to make a Marvel movie so far.

In Mother Russia, Whedon directs fast food commercials for public access tv.
Their government owns all the fast food chains, too? Russia!!!

If you are really interested in increasing your understanding, you could probably Google search for reviews of Whedon's previous work. You're welcome!

So does Michael Bay.

That's what confuses me, I know his resume is solid on paper, but everything I've seen of his is just cringeworthy to me.

You don't like his humour, it would seem to me. All of his stuff is very humour-based and even when it's being serious characters speak in a very distinctly Whedon way. This film is definitely not going to change your mind by the looks of it.
