I saw "B-Roll Footage" in the title and ScarJo in the video. I expected one thing but got another. I'm very disappointed.

Well, Ultron was marketed as this scary, emotionless, logic-driven robot, but Joss turned him into a cocky teenager. I'm not against the film, but I'm not THAT looking forward to it, especially after reading the spoilers. There's one scene in particular with Vision that I found baffling. Still, 12 days remain for me...

So Ultron is a weak villian then...sorta not as menacing?? DO NOT SAY THAT!!!!!!

the last clip i saw kind of ruined it for me.
ultron's voice sounded different and it kinda sucked

the movie will have great action and it will be funny, i have no doubt about that, but i wonder about repeat viewings
maybe it will be like the first one where a couple of times is enough

Same here. I'm still shocked at how well received the movie actually was. At least he knows it.

I thought the lack of screen time really hurt their character development, mainly Red Skull. For most of the movie when we do see him, he's really just doing something evil, but his motivation and reason just seemed way to simple and cliche to me. It's explained real briefly on why he is the way he is. He wants to be powerful, like a god? That's pretty much why he's evil. Compare that to Loki in Thor 1, his character is fleshed out, you can even understand where he's coming from and why he wants to kill Thor. Zola didn't really have much to do either in TFA, I did love his cameo in TWS though, but I think there's a reason there isn't really a demand from the fans (outside of hardcore Cap fans) to see either guy return. Hell, Hot Toys hasn't even made a Zola figure, that's saying something.

The acting from both of them was great though, Weaving was awesome as Skull.

You're right, RS' motivation doesn't seem very complex, but he was portrayed beautifully by Hugo Weaving, it's a treat for me to watch that man perform, always, plus makeup and characterization were excellent.

Zola wasn't a big villain, he was a minor villainous figure, I don't need to know his motivations, they're clear, he's a scientist in search of progress without regard for moral barriers, he was also portrayed quite well.

As far as cliché goes, I don't mind, as long as it's done with taste like Red Skull.

I'll be going to the double feature on April 30th and here are the 3D glasses we'll get. Hopefully they'll let us pick, but I'm not sure which one I should get. Hawkeye would be the one I'd want, but he's not available. :(

I would be upset if I was the actor. Even vision who isn't even in the first film got some glasses. Hawkeye wears black and purple, so maybe pick Thor? I like the CA glasses, but blue is my favorite color, so that's probably why :lol

This. While I haven't seen every clip or read every spoiler what I have seen is another misdirection from Marvel. Ultron in the very first trailer seems a distant memory now. Still looking forward to seeing tho.

What bothers me is that Ultron is not this cold, calculating machine that bides its time. Instead, it's a Whedon-y, cocky teen. I get that they tried to humanize him a bit, otherwise he would have been a caricature, but this version has no relation with the comic character. To tell you the truth, I'm hoping the Brainiac appears in the JL film so that we can get our cold, logic driven cyborg fix.

There's also this:

Apparently, Vision picks up Mjolnir and blasts Ultron.... and that's how he dies....yeah....

As for villains, the MCU IMHO has no good or memorable villains except from Loki, who's starting to get old pretty quickly.

Yeah I can sense a pretty strong hate bandwagon for this film, battle-ready even before it's in cinemas. Although, I'm gonna keep an open mind to all scenarios. I think it's going to be an immensely enjoyable film but maybe the pre-emptive haters will end up being right about some things. I can see there being excessive humour, I can see there being unwanted humour from Ultron etc etc....plus the Hot Toys over-saturation has turned me a bit cynical.

Was ultron created by stark with the intention of him being similar to his personality? It seems that way in a couple of the later clips I've seen of ultron, so if that's the case, I defn can see some decent humor coming from ultron. I would prefer him just to be one cold, evil bot though

I’m almost sure that exactly what it is. Somehow he implemented his personality onto Ultron, the clip with the “omelet” joke really makes it apparent, especially with the way Tony responds to the joke.

though choice, they all are kind of ugly
i guess i would go with thor

Well, he was enjoyable in TDW, but yeah, he's overstayed his welcome.

Dont want to quote your other post as I'll reveal the spoiler. But I agree with your points about Ultron.

I dont get into the DC vs Marvel fight but I do think they'll learn how not to do villains from Marvel. I quite like Brainiac but he's never been a favourite of mine. I can't wait to see Darkseid, Joker, Doomsday, Black Adam and Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom in the DCCU.

I always thought that while Marvel had the best heroes as a whole, DC always had the better villains. Marvel has some really good ones, but others have become either heroes, anti-heroes or just aren't that good. DC's are a bit more balanced. Though they mostly win due to Batman's rogues gallery, since almost every bat villain is a brilliant character.

Yeah I know... I don't think people will stop talking about Brokeback Clown or Elton Bane.

Cause Tom Hardy is now playing Elton John I thought it was fitting. :monkey3

Well, I was talking about the comic versions, but considering that people are still paying for custom 1/6 Ledger Joker figs despite there being 7 years' worth of figures out there, yeah, I don't think they will stop anytime soon.
