From what I've seen in the trailers, I'm not surprised. Too bad, he had so much potential, but on the bright side, that's great news for DC/WB if they ever decide to use Brainiac. Benedic Cumberbatch would be my choice.

That would be perfect casting. Isn't Brainiac rumored to be the main villain in Justice League?

I think he was supposed to be the villain in MOS but they changed it to Zod

Some of the reactions I'm reading from people that've seen it already have said Ultron is a big disappointment.

The faster he's out of this universe the better Marvel will be. I would have preferred if James Gunn took over for him but the Russos are still a major upgrade from Whedon, so I can't complain.

This is what I feared, he turned Ultron into a wise-cracking Stark Jnr, which is why Hank Pym being his creator works so much better. Oh well, at least the will be decent HT figures of the design.

I'm not particularly crazy about Gunn either, he also became a meme director and his praise comes from the overhyped GotG that isn't actually a remarkable film now that the dust has settled, the Russo bros were the best option IMO.

I agree, GOTG looked amazing, was a fun film at the time but now when I re-watch it the jokes aren't funny and it's not what I remember it being. The Russo bros taking over for Infinity War may be the best decision Marvel has made lately, cause if they turn Thanos into a wise-cracking villain like Loki & Ultron I'll be depressed. I thought Whedon was a fan of Ultron too.

Bare in mind I haven't seen the film yet but based on clips and trailers and reviews I think my assessment is fair. But I'm prepared to be wrong.

Afterwords he does a breakdance he calls the "Puny Robot".

Well, Ultron was marketed as this scary, emotionless, logic-driven robot, but Joss turned him into a cocky teenager. I'm not against the film, but I'm not THAT looking forward to it, especially after reading the spoilers. There's one scene in particular with Vision that I found baffling. Still, 12 days remain for me...
