I've watched Avengers a lot!

Hulk smashing Loki > Black Monolith

Not that I hate the monolith, its bad ***!

Opposite with me- I can watch 2001 over and over and over

A0U- twice is enough- then once on BD once it comes out- and I liked it

People usually give films like Memento a pass if they take two or more viewings to truly digest but often think that if you don't "get" everything about a superhero movie in one sitting that it's a "mess" or a failure.

Well, yeah. Because movie's like Memento or The Usual Suspects, etc. actually have depth. None of these superhero movies, (besides possibly Nolan's Batman flicks) have any kind of depth. There's nothing there but CGI, 'spolsions, and CGI 'spolsions. And when a movie is that simple and straight forward but STILL has problems with its narrative that's a flaw/failure in the writing and/or editing department.

No. I understand that it was a big deal for it's time, and I do like it, but if I had a choice between the two to rewatch, it would be 2010.

I would never accept a full blown CGI Road Warrior movie, but when it comes to the freaking HULK, you can keep your practical effects!
