This is coming from a Wookie!!!!!

Chewbacca was one of the deepest characters ever conceived for a movie. :D

Seriously though, I never found any comic book movie to be particularly deep; and that includes the Nolan Batman trilogy. I really don't understand when people say DC's CBMs are deeper than Marvel's. In my head, they are making the mistake of thinking dark, brooding movies with depressed heroes and villains as something that is "deep".

I don't find Nolan's villains any better than what we've seen from Marvel either. The only advantage they have is that they were played by very strong actors. That's why I also think people liked the villains of TWS.

Not all, but some CBMs are charged with meaning, undertones and themes, whether you think they're well or poorly executed the depth is there, and no, they don't have to be dark movies and we don't confuse them as such, it's just that "darkur" movies lend themselves for more serious undertones, take TWS, they had the whole security vs freedom thing going on, hell, even kid movies like LEGO or Brave are charged with meaning, it's quite shortsighted to think only dramatic serious Oscar bait can be 2deep4u, CBM and blockbusters in general can be too, it's just easier to dismiss them as mindless fun because we're too distracted with the pretty colors.

Nolan villains were better established, executed and performed than most MCU villains, and I'm not a Nolanite, for every Joker you get a Malekith, a Ronan and a Killian.

Something about the depression in this... it's hypnotizing.

Thanos will probably will him into re-existence for the big "boss battle" we'll see in Avengers 3--good guys vs. all the bad guys from previous movies at the same time. Just like X-Men: the Arcade Game.

If someone doesn't say "Welcome to die!" - Avengers 3 will be a disappointment.

I was in Europe for a month. My first viewing of this was about two weeks ago in full Italian (no English subtitles). Interesting experience to say the least. :lol Exposition and one liners wise, I had zero idea what was going on. Pretty crazy. I think just about every joke went over my head. Ultron's voice dubbed was cracking me up, especially when he was singing "no strings on me" (at least that's what I assume he was singing since the tune was similar).

Cool experience though. I didn't realize Europe had intermissions. About half way through when they're at Hawkeye's house and Banner sees the butterfly painting, it stopped at an intermission and showed more trailers for a couple of minutes. Thought that was strange.

They don't do that in Ireland. I wasn't aware of it elsewhere but I'm not very well travelled.

What was your final verdict? I was surprised that Joss didn't repeat what I considered to be the mistakes he made on the first one. Jye and I loved it. Kara thought it was decent, I believe a-dev was less than impressed.

I have to see it again before I reach a verdict. I was going to see it last night, but opted to see Mad Max instead. It wouldn't be fair to judge it on a viewing with dialogue I didn't understand. :lol

From what I gathered, Scarlet Witch and Vision seemed like the best parts.

Ah, you said "first viewing" so I took that to mean there had been another. Yes, proper English would help especially since the dialogue is one of the film's strong suits. :)

I have to see it again aswell. Trouble is I really feel in no hurry to do so. If I had it downloaded and could watch it tonight I wouldn't bother.

I didn't like Mad Max first time, I'm looking forward to giving it a 2nd chance, was weird being in a summer blockbuster with only 2 other people in the very large theater I was at, maybe that was it, who the **** knows.

I just didn't find the "Warboys" to be good adversaries.

I'm too stuck on this
