Max Mclane is only lacking a superhero costume in Fury Road. :lol

What is it with Warner Bros and Tornados.

Hey George, we have some left over Tornados from MOS, want to use them?

I watched it for a 3rd time the other night, I actually liked it even more, but this was the first time I'd watch it since being hyped and just taking it for what it is. It's still a flawed movie but now I find myself getting past the flaws and eating up the good. Ultron's a weak villain, I almost ignore his presence and just enjoy the fighting that takes place around him.

Regardless of Hulk being my favorite, I do wonder why he was so heavily omitted from the end battle. Once they're in the church, it's a great mix of action from everyone, but the overall battle lacks the balance of character time that Avengers had. Even the opening battle could have used more presence for him, his absence during key action involving everyone else makes it almost seem like what value does he bring to the team, they're taking care of everything without him. Stark broke into Strucker's base on his own, Cap and Thor took out the majority of soldiers. All Hulk did really was take out a bunker after Barton was already hit and was found taking out aggression on a smashed up vehicle like a kid playing in the corner of a room.

For me, I think the swirling shot in the church of them all fighting the drones as a team is one of the most exciting scenes in an MCU film, the music is perfect, the cinematography was spot on. It's not a great entry into MCU from start to finish but it sure has it's share of highlights.

AoU has some pretty shots but I would not call its cinematography a highlight.

It seems that most of the MCU movies lose a lot of value with every re-watch, once you realize how hollow and formulaic the movies are.

The only MCU movies that get better with each watch for me are TWS, Iron Man, and Ant-Man. CA and IM2 remain just plain good, the rest are literally the same movie step by step and aren't really any fun, just tryhard, tilting from mediocre to terrible, maybe Guardians had some originality but it was outdone by Ant-Man in its premise imo, Guardians feels very stale to me at this point.

Not coming from a DC fanboy perspective, I'm sure it could look that way, just my honest opinion as unbiased as I can be, Marvel has been losing appeal both in comics and movies lately, other than the movies I mentioned above, the rest feel like an extension of Agents of Shield.

Marvel being "fun" just sounds like a meme to me at this point.

I truly think TWS is the best of the bunch. If I had to pick one.

I like Avengers too, lots of fun -- fun that was seriously lacking in Ultron. Iron Man is a good movie and really defined the tone for the whole MCU, but its kind of boring on repeats. Plus, I'm getting so tired of RDJ's shtick. I do think it's perfect timing for him to "go bad" in Civil War.

imo Ultron was a little too "fun". I didn't mind in my 1st watch but holy **** it's ******** on the 2nd watch :lol

I have no problem with Iron Man myself, my problem is that everybody has Iron Man's personality, save for Cap and Banner, everybody's a one liner machine, even Thor, nobody has a personality of their own save for glimpses, which is probably in line with the comics these days.

That's a good point -- BW is pretty much Tony Stark with a ******. What, you can't say ******? OK, with ****ies. Fury is just a dark Tony. Most of the villains are Tony. Hawkeye is Tony. Scarlet Witch will likely be a Romanian Tony.

Watched AoU after I got home from work last night and as far as I'm concerned it's fun, exciting and a solid movie... it's a comic book come to life. :rock:rock

Everyone has different opinions on this movie; my opinion is the only one that matters to me. :D
