Man, this is at least the 4th time that guys played a Nazi. :lol I know actors get typecast but that can't feel good. "Hey we need someone who can embody the Nazi party, call Tom."

after a quick look, make that the 7th time he's played a nazi. :lol

Moar:

Yes, there's another villain in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but don't get worried - it's a small part. Basically it's the opening sequence, and The Avengers do battle with Baron Wolfgang von Strucker and his minions, including Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. When they defeat and capture the baddies the Avengers head home and have a party.

We already knew who will be Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch - Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen - but now we know who will be von Strucker. It's Thomas Kretschmann, a cool German actor who hasn't quite had a breakout role yet (he was the captain in King Kong). It's a small role in the movie - von Strucker is pretty much only in the opening, and it's part of the introduction of more important characters - but it's a part that carries the possibility of returning in future films. With the recent reshoots on Captain America: The Winter Soldier it may even be a part that debuts before The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Who is von Strucker in the comics? He's a Nazi commander who came up against Captain America and Nick Fury a bunch during WWII. After the war he became the head of HYDRA, until he was eventually killd. And resurrected, of course. In the comics von Strucker has super-powered twin children - a boy and a girl - and that might end up being Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's relationship to him in the movie. You have to imagine the WWII stuff isn't part of the character anymore, as that would make him about a hundred years old in the new film.

Double checked because I thought it was funny and found that's he been a nazi in :

Stalingrad
The Sinking of the Laconia
Valkyrie
Head in the Clouds
The Sea Wolf
Eichmann
Downfall
In Enemy Hands
The Pianist
U-571

as well as possibly this and in talks for Panzer 88. :lol Lets hope this guy isn't good at giving speeches.

Scarlett Johansson Says Avengers: Age of Ultron’s Script is Dark and Dry

"I think the script is dark and it’s dry," she says. "It has got this amazing one-liner, glass-cutting sense of humor. Obviously, the script is very cerebral. It doesn’t lose that exciting comic book aspect that people enjoyed in the first film, but it’s smart and it feels like the next installment. It doesn’t feel like a rehashing. It feels like these characters are moving forward. Plotlines are moving forward. It’s deep and I think that’s why people really respond to the Marvel Universe, because the films are fun and exciting and have all that flashy stuff, but there’s a gravity to them. People can expect that gravity this time around."

Dark? :yess:

Sweet. I think I'll miss the surplus of 'light' banter from the first Avengers movie... But at the same time, I have been looking forward to a darker installment. :clap

Interesting. Definitely seems they are going with Stark making Vision and Ultron rather than Pym.

I hope so, why muddy the waters.
As a comic fan, I'd like them to follow the comic, but from the "general viewers" PoV, Tony is the genius, hes already got the advanced machinery and AI act established and it won't seem like a jump for the MCU storyline. Whereas if Pym was introduced and suddenly heres a guy doing advanced robotics and AI, its just going to come off as a Stark rip off.

After events of IM3 and Marvel changing Ant-Man movie it became apparent that Stark would be making Ultron , in one of the animated movies Stark created him.

Great news!
Worried that Clark Gregg was going to be cast what with those wacky theories.
Hopefully Wheddon will choose a great look for him (i.e. Tomato face and cape for starters)

It would be great if they went for his traditional look. Since its Marvel Disney, I have confidence, that at least hes got a fighting chance to look very much how he should. If it were any other company, I'd think they'd chuck a design thats worked in comics for 75 years because think they "know " what fans want. :lol

Thank goodness Bryan Singer has no say on the design...
