To me, the only real game changer I can think of would be actually killing someone off. And I don't mean a Coulson, I mean like a Thor or Hawkeye type character - an actual Avenger. I'm really hoping this will have an Empire Strikes Back kind of ending - where the bad guys actually win.

Good point, I still feel like the GOTG are being set up as fodder to be killed by Thanos/Ultron.

Would Marvel have the ***** to kill off this group?

As crazy as it sounds its still more accceptable than knocking off RDJ :lol

Hawkeye DEFINITELY......

Don't mean to break Weenie's heart, but honestly, the way Renner badmouthed Avengers, I can see that happening.

All of the talk about Widow's spin off movie could just be a red herring :lol

Hawkeye is a bit useless in this franchise really. He took out, what, 24 Chitari with all 24 of those arrows he had? Compared to the rest, he wasn't that important. And with more sups being brought on board, he comes less needed.

I don't see them killing of Fury anytime soon though. He's a survivor. Plus he is literally what brought all of this together. Not to mention Jackson still has about 3 or 4 films left on his contact :lol

I wish Black Panther was in this film, or any film in the future...

I actually would prefer to see him over the Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver.

If any character should go, then I'd say Hawkeye. The rest of the team is simply too cool to part with!

What you call boring, I call character development. The first 2 X-Men movies were really good, especially for the time they came out in.
I love character development. I loved Days of Future Past and Age of Apocalypse because both stories had great characterizations and amazing art and design. You can have both, p. As a small example, can you see Singer handling GotG the same way as we've seen in that small teaser? I don't think Singer can get his head around any design that isn't a human in a boring costume, with at best marginal FX (e.g., Iceman, Colossus). His imagination is just too limited for the source material. Honestly I'm dreading how idiotic we can expect his version of Apocalypse to look.

In regards to X-Men 1 & 2, they were good, as one critic mentioned, for their time and I'd add for a low budget adaptation. By today's standards I'd say they're pretty pedestrian. And it's not like the story in either one was mind blowingly good, by any stretch.
