Avengers: Age of Ultron

Ultron was created by Hank Pym in order to protect the world alongside the Avengers or in the event they were busy, dead, etc. Ultron like Skynet realized that humanity is the problem, and began attempting to kill the Avengers and rule the world.

OK can someone explain to me how Ultron was created, and what is purpose was. I never read any of the comics. Lets keep the snippy replies to a minium, not everyone reads all the comics, or follow all the lore like myself.

We can only wait for the movie to come out to see how Ultron in the Cinematic Universe came to be. In the comics he was created by Dr Hank Pym aka Ant-Man, but Pym is yet to be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic U so this might have a few differences compared to the source material.

Said it before and now that we've all seen this I'll say it again: It would be AWESOME if HT made 3-4 different PPS Ultron drones. Limited posability, so they could be at a lower price point so we could afford 2-4 of them. At $250 each, I'm not buying ANY drones. Shoot, make them a 3 pack sort of like the Chutauri two pack and sell it for $395 or something like that.

But yeah, need that "final" Ultron, and possibly the black one as well depending on the story line.

Yeah I wasn't sure if he wanted the movie version or comics, and my natural default is the comics. The movie will probably be the same just sub out Hank and insert Tony.

And I am with you on the drones. I didn't like the Chitauri, but that was more because I read the Ultimate comic, and they were way more terrifying as the shapeshifters than as generic aliens.

But there is another short clip in the trailer that is on what looks like a train. Cap is knocked back in a chair, and Quicksilver is running through something, it's obscured by QS but it looks like a black robot of some kind? It's at 1:28 in the trailer. Definitely black there.

Well that looks like his final look at the end of the trailer. If they go black that would be cool. I will get the final version whether it is silver or black.

Did anyone else notice that Andy Serkis is playing Ulysses Klaw? Could we actually get a BP cameo? At least the T'Chakka version...

QFT. I won't buy the drones if they cost too high and I'd much prefer them as PPS figures. If I want to throw a huge amount of cash I want it to be a notable character. Three forms for Ultron are more than enough for me to get my Ultron fix.

But yeah, need that "final" Ultron, and possibly the black one as well depending on the story line.

Not sure if it's actually a uniquely "black" Ultron (I believe people are referring to the one Quicksilver knocks away?). It could very well just be the lighting making the silver look dark.

Ehh really? I don't think Natasha is notable enough nor does she bear any significant relation to Ultron's cause to properly justify her getting offed in this film. Also there's barely enough female superheroes on the team, it'd be a huge misfire on Marvel's part to throw Natasha under the bus just to try and add some "drama".

I could see it being Widow. But in traditional Avengers stuff Wanda tends to be the noble sacrificing one. But who knows.

I don't think they've said that Portman/Foster is actually in the movie, but Selvig is, so......?

Could be the same as the Mark XLII each piece of the suit having the ability to fly when being summoned. Best answer that I could come up with.

I don't think they've said that Portman/Foster is actually in the movie, but Selvig is, so......?

Selvig would be the best option. He's known to the movie fans, but not so big that it would piss off comic fans(or give the movie real stakes). I could see Fury, but I think that is more likely to happen in a Cap film, since Bucky, Steve, and Natasha are the heirs to Fury. Selvig would fit with Coulson. It kills a character that fans(might like) and creates weight without sacrificing one of the main cast.
