Why is there no Ant Man figure discussion thread? It seems like there ought to be, but I guess theres no news. Still we may be getting figures this year.
Personally I'd be down for these two

So start one. Lol I too would love those figures. Very unique look.

I don't think they will be out this year though. Given the loaded schedule and that the film hasn't hit yet I don't see them this year. Hope I'm wrong.

The avengers figures are established characters "known quantities" as it where. Ant-man is new. Could be as good as GoTG (which is the model I think, they will wait and see how the film does before figures release), or it could be like Daredevil or whatever.

Yes I made the thread... although I deleted the post I made here

Yes I agree. It makes sense that they would hold off until release to see how it goes. Still Hot Toys had GOTG previews for all 5 main characters 2 months before its release and they had no idea it would be successful(well some idea it is Marvel, but an obscure property)

I didn't realize they showed them that far before the movie. My bad. But it was in a year with limited tent poles. This year they got AoU to compete with. I know there was DOFP last year but that's such a crazy unique license it kinda doesn't count. Lol

I'm hopeful they make AM figures and lots of um. Lol but the film BOx office will effect that greatly.

As for the AoU, I'm super excited for the film. And hope they do a few of the figures no one has seen the characters/versions of. On top of the ones we have seen this far. I'm still most excited by Hulkbuster, with Vision next then I'd say Cap and Hawkeye and mk43/45 and bw about equal.

Ugh this is seriously going to be an expensive year for me. At least Ultron will be in just this one film so I don't have to worry about buying as much merch from the MCU ever again. :monkey4

Aren't the normal figures usually about 9"? That'll make that Hulkbuster pretty good sized. Might be my alternative to the uber expensive Hot Toy Hulkbuster.

You think hot toys are expensive...I'm a big MOTU fan (he-man) and been collecting the motuc line since the first figure in 2008. They where 20 bucks for a limited articulation 6 inch figure with a crappy customer service, multiple major and many minor production issues, broken promises and after a couple years you had to agree to a full years worth of buying figures to get them(most anyway) without seeing the finished product of any, or even a proto really, and now after all this time I got my first 2015 sub figure (I had not paid attention to what was coming) which was 40 dollars including shipping. Same 6 inch figure. Same shipping services. Same reused tooling where 60-80% of the entire line is reused. I love my motu but it's such a fricken rip off. If I had an option to get figures elsewhere from another company I would. I am on the verge of telling Mattel to suck it. Value for money hot toys DESTROYS everyone else I think. (And remember Mattel has zero license cost, as they own he-man and MOTU) ...this is why I love hot toys. I would love for them to be cheaper. But I understand why they cost what they do

Edit-sorry for the kinda off topic rant but I just got my mail and for the price expected two figures and it irritates the poop out of me how Mattel handles this property....
