for people like me who are only looking in this forum because of figure news its a little bit painful to read through all posts to finally find some news on figures. so i dont come to this forum anymore because 99 % of the postings are not very interesting for people who are not friends with anyone here. so i see a point why people are complaining about off topic.

i know nobody will care if i come back again but thats the truth, sorry. in the last 7 days i read nothing about an AOU figure in this thread but mainly its a Marvel Action Figures Forum isnt it?

Well there isn't always news to talk about

Thanks. :hi5: He's a sharp looking figure, definitely breaks up the sea of red with the metallic orange paint app. Is he worth $270+$20 shipped? Not imo.

Agreed, great figure and he does break up the red and gold, but realistically, probably would've just bought him for $250 total, realistically :lol

Normally we have them, but we didn't have the Shawarma ending when Avengers Assemble was first released in England, we had to wait for the Blu-ray release, was it different in Ireland ?.

Yeah I seen that in the Cinema, I guess we get different theatrical releases, I wonder why that is

If all you are looking for is "news" then a forum by collectors is the wrong place to be looking anyway. There are actual toy news sites, there's sideshows actual site and hot toys site. Those are the best places to get news.

There are discusions about news announced elsewhere and guessing about future stuff here. Sometimes you get some behind the scenes info about how things work but rarely any unreleased news, if ever. So outside of the maybe 10-15 days a years (for each property) where news is released the other 350 days if it wasn't direct news then places like this would not exist.

If you have a specific question then feel free to ask it. But it's not practical to expect a forum to only talk about official news. As I said, that happens to cover like 2% of the year, tops.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but just explaining why I think the forum isn't exactly what your looking for, or hoping for.

I don't come here because of friends either. In fact I'm willing to bet most the folks here don't like me at all. But that's fine. I Like to see collection photos and pics of the figures and the like. And I lurked for a long time and eventually I felt like I wanted to contribute to the discussion. Add a point of view I felt was lacking. And I knew I wasn't going to win many friends. But I still felt an insiders experience may help some folks. Don't care if they like me, but maybe they could use the info. If all you want is pure news, just the highlights and release dates I'd suggest a few other places to look. That's just not what a forum is.

No no. There is a clear thread in the movie thread for discussion on the film. This thread is for discussion on the figures solely, hence being in the action figures section of the marvel topic.

People getting miffed on spoilers being posted here are perfectly correct.

I get that. My point was there is only so much to say about figures. Figures, based on the movie. So the movie effects them as much as anything else. They are linked. But that's beside the point. My point was and is that there is only so much about each figure to discuss. And given that each figure does in fact have its own thread, and there is no "age of ultron" single figure what exactly would a thread about the movie discuss if not the movie?

I could see that argument in the individual and specific figure threads, but this is a thread that's, by title, about the whole movie. So even though it's in the action figure area, there's going to be talk about the film. Do you get what I'm saying?

Maybe technically but the fact of the matter is there are too many posters here for it to be policed. If you're someone that's sensitive to spoilers then you need to avoid threads like these until after you've seen the movie. Or try and prove a point on principle and keep coming in and then be sad when something's spoiled. *shrugs*

Yeah, sorry, SE, I meant "you" in a generic sense as opposed to you, personally (not sure if spoilers even bug you or not; they don't me... I usually seek them out). Seems like we as a forum have this same back-and-forth in regards to spoilers in threads with every upcoming blockbuster.

No don't worry I know. I was posting to the one above yours, just as you responded at the same time as me.

But yeh, it's a constant dynamic. Hell, I'm not even that bothered but was just pointing out the facts for those that can't seem to see it from another perspective is all.
