I would cry if they announce a Runaways movie or show. I love that team to death and they can definitely do them especially since we have Ultron so they could have Victor. But AOU and Ant-Man could also give us Young Avengers for Billy, Tommy, Teddy, and Cassie, Kate, and Vision 2. The only problems would be Teddy since he's half Skrull and Xavin.

Super post dude :clap Lovin it!! :rock

Thanks! Honestly it's why I'm just so excited yet so nervous about this film. :panic:

Actually Marvel Studios had a script for a Runaways movie. Sadly, it got shelved during the entire development of the whole Avengers project so it never really came to fruition. Hopefully with AOU and other MCU films being made, it'd be great if they could revisit Runaways at some point in the future (Young Avengers would be nice too). I'd definitely love to see them include Victor somewhere down the line since we already have Ultron anyway. :)

Reading his reasons, I don't mind the compromises he took. He seems to really care more about Ultron's characterization than trying to make a by-the-book checklist of the character that spells out "Ultron", and that's the most important part for me.

Much as I love Ultron, it's kinda sad how he barely has any actual decent storylines for people to read. Ultron: Unlimited, Annihilation: Conquest, The Runaways Vol. 2 compilation are literally the only worthwhile read and even then, some of those barely do much in making him come across as a compelling villain. Heck I'd even argue that his best and most clean-cut iteration came out of a cartoon (Earth's Mightiest Heroes). In this regard, I hope that Whedon's willingness to give him depth and complexity will finally create a storyline that really shows off the various elements that make Ultron an interesting character beyond the typical "killer robot gone rogue".

I as expected agree, and yes I think EMH was a good example of how great Ultron can be as a character. My personal favorite story has always been Ultron Unlimited. Great points ronri!

EMH in general was a great show. I was pleasantly surprised as to how they would fit exact comic storylines into 20 minutes at times and pull it off well. The multiple story arcs are awesome as well. I wish we could've gotten to season 3 since they were gonna go into Civil War, and introduce Wanda, Pietro, and Thanos.

Me too, was sad to see it get cancelled.

On another note, is the any Ultron sentry promo art from the movie yet? Haven't been keeping up to date due to uni work.

Regarding Avengers EMH, I'm not really sure why they felt obligated to reboot it with the much less enjoyable Avengers Assemble (I gave up on this after the pilot) since EMH was already on DXD, but maybe they wanted to do a fresh start with Avengers as part of DXD's Marvel Universe block and given the gigantic success of the Avengers film (expecting new audiences to tune in). Could be a ratings issue too, maybe EMH wasn't tracking well with kids who weren't familiar with the Avengers storylines, could very well be why AA is geared for kids much like Ultimate Spider-Man. You could definitely tell that Season 2 felt a lot more rushed than Season 1. Shame it went off the air, EMH was a great show, almost as good as the JL/JLU show.

Avengers Assemble was more in line with the MCU, thats why.

On a similar note, Spectacular Spider-Man > Ultimate Spider-Man.

Seriously, the writers of that show knew how to write a coherent story and actually, you know, develop characters (including supporting characters!) I'd even argue that Spectacular Spider-man is the best iteration of Spider-Man I've ever seen in my life, it's literally the equivalent of Batman: The Animated Series only for Spider-Man. Of course I know Spectacular was doomed from the start since it was a Sony-produced animated series (and with the move to Disney, they essentially became competitors), but I just seriously dislike how Marvel/Disney has to streamline everything across their various media just to emulate the MCU. Let the MCU stay in the MCU, don't cancel shows that are actually good just to feed on the hype machine.
