I admire the patience. I see a lot of collectors being selective and I wish I had that willpower

Being selective is not something I'm good at. For me its less about having specific versions of characters and more about having figures from a certain movie and completing the line as much as possible. Falcon, for example, if theres going to be a Civil War version then I will get that because I want figures from that movie and it won't matter to me if I have TWS Falcon because thats from TWS and its separate.

I didn't use to be, it's something I've struggled with in the past.

For me, though, it comes from two things:

The first is that is that no matter how much I love the MCU, I don't only love the MCU. I'm a fan of other things, too. In fact, there are potential licenses out there that could/would backburn the MCU stuff for me - for example, I just got ThreeZero's Dead Space Isaac figure, and I love it, and chose it over another MCU figure. There are some TV shows that, if the licenses were acquired by a good company, I would place in front of some of the MCU stuff. I don't have any desire to limit myself only to the MCU, and there ARE things out there I would prioritize over it. For that reason, I've gotten more selective.

And I'm REALLY glad I couldn't care less about DC or Star Wars.

The second also ties in with the first - the cost of these things and how it keeps going up. As much as it would be fun to have a TWS display, an Avengers, display, a GOTG display, etc...and have all these different versions of the characters from all the different movies, I simply cannot justify the prices it would take to make that happen, nor can I justify having so many versions of so many of the same characters with so little differences 80 + % of the time.

The Dead Space figure does look amazing, I moved it up a few notches on my wish list
The MCU is No.1 priority for me, but I do get other stuff as well, PAK figures and statues etc....

I agree about costs, its almost impossible to justify some figures that come out, like the IM3 suits, I would never commit to getting them all.

True there arent much differences between certain figures(looking at Thor specifically ), and truthfully I don't feel good about having 4 versions of him

More than likely Carter and Heimdall are all part of visions that SW gives each character. Falcon is probably the only "real" one.
