Thor learned that getting revenge on Thanos by attacking him was meaningless. Even Thanos himself didn't care when he watched himself get beheaded. Nothing mattered except the snap, and Banner/Hulk alone took that from him.

Lord have mercy.....

True but that Thanos also had no memory of ever beating up the Hulk either so I'd say the important thing was that Banner himself knew that he undid Thanos' life purpose. I'm not saying that more crowd pleasing Hulk out moments would have been bad, only that I'm at least fine with what did play out on screen.

I would say yes that no one was spared the coin toss of the snap. In fact I think its even likely that the 50/50 applied to Thanos himself and that he just happened to be with the half who survived.

Thanos even lost half of his 2 arms lol

But seriously he didn’t get away unscathed forget his army he lost half of his 2 daughters over this debacle of his!

Sorry TDK Joker fans and Wor-Gar’s Joker rant but....

Thanos > TDK Joker

What did Joker give up?

Nothing!

The kids (kids!) turning to ash during the SMFFH assembly was genuinely disturbing. I'm sorry but making some people on a couple of boats nervous for a few minutes just doesn't compare, lol.

Nice way to marginalize their anguish. You know, that bald guy probably has PTSD now.

Russo’s (AND the writers) have now confirmed together that one of their biggest regrets was having to let go of starting the 3rd act with Thanos walking through the portal in present day after blowing up the compound and throwing Caps head on the floor at Cap’s feet they said they held onto that scene for as long as they could before they had to give in to what we have now.

I’m happy they didn’t do it unless it was Hulk’s head that is

Yeah, I'm glad they didn't do that scene. It would have been pointlessly gratuitous that almost would have telegraphed that the current Cap would *not* die whereas on opening night I kept expecting Steve to buy it with every punch from Thanos.

Writers said that they wrote the portal scene to be the epic version of Steve's alley seen from TFA. He refuses to back down from a bully in a hopeless fight but someone the bully's size shows up and saves him but instead of one man coming to fight one man it's an entire army showing up to save Cap from another army. :rock

They didn't write "on your left" that was a moment of inspiration by Joe Russo.

Yup would’ve totally telegraphed Steve’s outcome so good riddance.

Now all 4 (Russos-Writers) say they ejected that scene on their own accords that they were not forced to do so but I don’t know if I buy that, Anthony Mackie said that Anthony Russo was really pushing for it the most.

I’m happy that they also jettisoned the “crater” assemble meeting scene before charging forward although Hemsworth looks like a mad man in that deleted scene he gets so into it lol

Immediately following on your left and the entry of the main characters they all first literally have a battle strategy MEETING as in you go left and you go right in a huge crater THEN Cap says his assemble line and they take off having to CLIMB OUT of the crater lol

No no no NO!

Momentum killer is an understatement!

Wait so Thanos patiently waits for Cap to draw little stick figures in the sand at the bottom of a crater so that he can show everyone that when he says assemble they just run directly at the enemy legions, lol.

Dude and what I described took place just before AA!

I could still be wrong and it takes place immediately following AA!

Can you imagine him saying that and then they cut to them literally assembling for a meeting holy crap lol

That would be right out of a SNL skit!

Ok I need to go find the definitive answer now.
