Amazing, something to be proud of! I'd be proud to have it in MY home... Lol! Seriously, just inspiring!

Folks, sorry for the delay for those still interested.

I finished the model tonight. Had some trouble (go figure) with the support rod, but that's all worked out. This thing fought me every step of the way, but it has been finished and can be added to the list of things that have been overcome.

Here's a quick/crude video I shot tonight. I couldn't resist posting. I promise to show the professional photos once they're done, and maybe a better video later for those who care to see more. Otherwise, this is it folks. Thanks to all who cheered me on! Your strength was greatly appreciated.

Man that just makes me weep it's so awesome. :) You know what would totally make it even more over the top? Have a button and a speaker that adds that Enterprise D ambient engine noise. I always loved that sound in the background of the ship.

I'm really happy you overcame that moment of frustration and went back at this it would be a huge shame not to have done it. I always loved D I thought it was one of the coolest ships. You've made something really beautiful and epic and insane. Are you an engineer by chance? anyways so happy you shared but more happy you stuck to it.

An engineer? I wish I were that brilliant. :)

I'm just a guy that loves Star Trek, and enjoys building models, and had a major geekgasim looking at other peoples LED lit ships. So, without any clue how an LED worked, I started researching it and built a model. If I had it to do all over again though, I think I would have eased into it rather than diving in. Probably would have saved myself some headaches if I just had more experience going in.

So I guess you're not looking forward to the 1/350 OS Enterprise that's coming out later this year, then.Should be epic, based on the available photo's...PS

Just go to Round2 models site. The project has been in development for over a year. The final kit is intended to be "blueprint accurate "to the 11' studio miniature. The pix I've seen would suggest that Round 2 is serious in this regard...PS
