However, according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige: Avengers: Infinity War's Thanos will dwarf the impact of any MCU villain from previous films, and he will do it within the first five minutes of the long-awaited blockbuster. Addressing the gravity of Thanos' arrival at Brazil Comic Con, Feige said:

So, within the first five minutes of Infinity War people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Personally I'm not all into the "I-need-an-utter-badass-villain" thing. Looking cool and being a reasonable villain (and not boring) for me is fine. Usually don't have figs of villains on the shelves.

But that should make some folks happy. Think James Brolin is awesome and I like what he says about his character. Also Feige's comments dovetail with what the Russos have said about IW just dropping the audience into it. E.g there isn't going to be any explaining who the players are. Fine by me.

(Also, the IW press is beginning; so we should see more about BP and IW in January.)

If it's what I think, I don't believe it, considering the possible character in question. But I could see Thanos engaging in *lots of slaughter*.

Think it's just *fan terror*. For one thing Loki already "died". Also Loki has a huge suite of powers re comix including "Loki crafted a method of cheating death. He will be reincarnated upon any "death" of his body now that he has arranged with the incarnations of death that his name be erased from the books of Hel."

Also the Russos warn that IW will have surprises. Finally: "Despite Loki's hatred of his adoptive brother and father, Loki helped to defend Asgard from destruction from Surtur and his fire demons. This was because Surtur's goal was to destroy Asgard, whereas Loki sought only to rule it."

E.g at least in the films, Loki also wanted to rule Earth. IMO it's likely he'll try to save it, even if it ends up looking like he dies at some point.

So I don't believe in the end, Loki will meet his end. Also re Ragnarok the line from Thor - something about Loki never changing, but he could be so much more. I think that was foreshadowing for what Loki will become e.g. a hero of a kind. Or antihero.

*Grins* only for the first IW movie.

This movie won't be any fun unless there's lots of hysterics over multiple deaths and *badassery*. And we're getting more bicep porn!

But just show me Bucky racking the slide on that M249 and I'm good.

'Coz I'm convinced that if T'Challa's evacuating the city it's the reason they need to wake Bucky up, which means he's still off the rails mentally = slaughter. Eyes narrowed and cold as Bucky lines up the shots...

With a beardly Cap! Falcon! T'Challa! ScarJo! - I live for Wakanda and the Outrider invasion.

Yep. He's totally a goner. I kind of wondered if they would do that. Of course, he could always fake his death.

I'm betting we get 4 major deaths (that one included).

Saw the A:IW trailer before TLJ on the big screen for the first time since it was released and I can't wait for this movie now!

Our theater sound system really brought life to that trailer! When Thanos slammed spiderman, hits ironman, rumble of footsteps on battlefield, you could feel it all in your sternum. Was an awesome experience!

I truly feel like this movie really needs to be dark and filled with despair. Thanos alone is crazy powerful, so hopefully they will show his merciless side in collecting the stones. Once he has them all then he's unstoppable, until he's tricked, basically.
