Weren’t you excited for pirates 2 when you knew you’d have to wait an year to to see the real ending in pirates 3?

Honestly in that case I wish we had been left waiting.

Anyway, I don’t think anyone cares that they have to wait an year.. going all the way back to ESB to ROTJ people had to wait 3 years for the ‘real ending.’

It doesn’t take away from the experience as long as the movie holds up on its own.

I honestly didn't know anything about Pirates 2 before I saw it other than it was a Pirates movie nor do I remember anything about whether or not it was common knowledge that there would be a part 3 at the time. It was more or less a complete surprise to me when I first saw it, but I was somewhat bummed that we had to wait for a part 3... and we all know how that turned out.

Ah I thought it was common knowledge at the time that they were pulling a ‘matrix’ and filming it back to back with a cliffhanger ending.

Well it’s going hard to pull off a pirates 3 again... or at least one would hope so... I really liked pirates 2 so indeed it was too bad. But when pirates 3 started and Elizabeth was pulling guns out of her hooha and whazzit I had a bad feeling about the rest..

I mean, we could still be thankful MCU hasn't gone full blown StarWars on us........ yet. LOL

For me just seems like a lot of time - not always - any movie building to a battle has more tension/desperation. Once it all starts - I dunno - for the last battle the pieces are in place, u don't know what's gonna happen but for IW2 it will be THE END.

Also IMO folks forget IW2 is coming and are into whoever is gonna buy the farm.



This movie better have grit and be better than that clip. Huh.

Well mcu used to spoil other movies, now it’s more of a humour gag, ragnarok’s post post credit scene was lame, we will see, honestly Lego was on point so far with this clip.

I know you've said 'bloated' etc about the movie, but compared to the source material, it's tame. Correct?

If it was bare-bones, everyone would be going "wassup with that?"
