I pre-ordered it since it looks so much like Jill, but I'm not entirely sure I'll keep that PO yet. This thing is so freaking huge! I have no idea where I'd even display it.
Also asked Infinity if this was a *** doll, no reply yet. lol If it ends up being one, I think I might cancel that PO. A full silicone body of this scale is somewhat suspicious...
A *** doll?....at that scale....I don't want to be rude, but....you do know how *** works right?

Seriously though, I can guarantee that the "technology" behind this figure is derived from the *** doll industry - I just hope they aren't BS-ing about using silicone - because most of these dolls are made from TPE - which is cheaper, softer then silcione and degrades like a mutha....

I haven't pulled the trigger on this yet - simply because I just don't need an articulated figure. I would pose it and be done - the big problem with these types of figure, is that they advise you not to leave it in a dynamic pose (whatever that is) for long periods of time! Hot Damn - that's exactly how I roll with my figures - so this is borderline useless to me as it currently stands.

Tell that to them. Lol
SGD's Tifa isn't much bigger, and they somehow made that into a "special" doll.
I don't know much about silcone grades or any of that stuff. Only "soft" bodies I'm familiar with is TBLeague and Jiaou Doll. And the JD brand sucks. Lol
Would be real dumb if they cheaped out on something this expensive. But at the same time I also wouldn't be surprised if they did.
If this TPE stuff degrades as fast as you say it does, then I'll most likely cancel that PO...

The *** dolls made out of silicone cost more generally - about double the cost of TPE - but TPE simply doesn't last very long, and unfortunately, as I understand it - most Phicen or TBLeague type bodies are made using TPE - it's how they keep the costs down.

Right now, everyone who is using silicone is stating that they're using Platinum Grade silicone - unless you're an expert, it's impossible to tell if this is true or not. But even the lowest grade of silicone will easily out last TPE.

But all that being said - at first I was excited by these figures - but as time has worn on, I find myself scratching my head as to who is the target market. This body is going to spend 100% of the time under wraps - so why in the hell do I need a squishy "silicone" body? A solid ABS or PVC body would've made so much more sense, as the body would be able to support itself without the need for the external frame.....essential for those who like to photograph their figures. The internal "wire" frames in these bodies tend to be prone to failure over time - and on a figure (even this scale) repair will be pretty much impossible....

So the more I think about it - the more I feel this figure is a pass (and a fail on many levels) - I love the concept, I love the headsculpt - I hate the body, I hate the useless articulation - and considering the format of figure - the scale just means that you have a figure that has no possibility of kitbashing clothing or equipment to really customise your new figure....so in the end, a straight up - static figure (with no fake ******) would have made so much more sense.

No, tell that to Shaq.

This figure is perfectly scaled for ‘the average man.’

Is it stated anywhere by IS the life expectancy of the silicone for this statue/figure?
I’m not sure for this but I think for JND 1:3 silicone, it’s supposedly a minimum of 30 years.

I might be dead by then. :lol

Is the head sculpt silicone too or just the body?

Head Sculpt:
The 1:3 scale head sculpt follows the same high standards as full-scale (1:1) statues. It offers rich structural detail and realistic paintwork to capture lifelike features. The hand-planted hair, made from high-temperature synthetic fibers, ensures a lightweight, soft feel and makes it easy for collectors to style.
Body:
The body features an alloy skeleton covered in platinum silicone for a soft, lifelike texture. Articulated fingers and magnetic hands allow secure placement of accessories.

It's all silicone.

Up at BBTS.

Not my thing, but if the right figure came along, it would be pretty cool. You end up having to look at this hobby as moving toward ‘highly-articulated multimedia” representations

Yeah theres a couple of differences, but they're pretty subtle. Can't help but wonder if it isn't more than just a coincidence of how much she looks like Jill.

I don't understand why it's hard for quality figure/statue manufactures to obtain a RE licence from CAPCOM?

It's getting a bit much with all this 3rd party RE figures. I get there's lots of options but it's like they're half hearted attempts. The only good ones are the ones from Damtoys, Prime Studio, 1/6 statues and those 1:1 and 1:2 scale busts.

Would have been cool if they had included Jills outfit, sort of like what SGD is doing with their 2B. Market it as something else but include the original gear.
I'm just curious what the original idea was behind the design. Or if this even has anything to do with RE in the first place.

It doesn’t look to have anything to do with RE to me, just like the other two teases don’t seem to have any attachment to an IP. It’s just “hot chicks in private military contractor, fantasy, and Sci-Fi gear.” Doesn’t seem all that complicated. Just because the face looks somewhat similar doesn’t mean it’s attached to anything. Both the MIA and the barbarian figure look to have the exact same face, but with different hair (not sure why they went that route, since the Sci-Fi version has a completely different look).

thing about rubber/sillicone figures is that squishy feel when you hold them lol. like holding a pet hamster.

remember the time everyone used a tom cruise head for their products?

jill is so popular in the 1/6 and statue community everyone wants to use a jill head to represent their products.
