I don't see there being 67 characters or anywhere near that.
I would expect the avengers line up:
Cap
Thor
Hawkeye
Black Widow
Scarlet Witch
Vision
Hulk
Antman - maybe
Black Panther - maybe
(WS still in cryo and WM still recovering)

Guardians of the Galaxy:
Peter
Gamora
Rocket
Groot
Drax
Nebula

So I'd say about 16 characters total assuming they put Antman and black panther in it. I think 16 characters is feasible and will most likely be what we get.

Don't know about Rhodey, but Bucky will likely getting an IW figure, unless his part is really really small - Seb's confirmed for the film, so I can see Hot Toys going for a third attempt at the perfect Seb likeness

Seems like Seb's working his *ss off at the gym these days and they're gonna film in New York, so shamelessly hoping my MCU fav has quite a presence in IW and I will be really pissed if not - besides, the *burning question* of his missing arm needs to be dealt with:cool:. Agree that the sculpt could use more accuracy and be less generic.

And I still haven't bought an Antman, so hope he's improved too (assuming he's in IW). Not sure Chris Evans, SW or Falcon sculpts could be much better - IMO Wanda is just beautiful, sculpt and paint. But I'd happily buy WS, Evans, SW, Falcon, BP again. Maybe BW.

(I could see this re IW - variant of "assassin gear" after the Earth is attacked MAYBE by Thanos & co.)

Wanda coming into her own e.g. the "most powerful" of the Avengers?

Really would that have been so hard to pull off? They could say the headpiece helps her contain her powers. I also like the glowing red eyes. They really need to amp her up, add a headpiece and make the costume a little sexier.

I think we will see some kind of a radically different Iron Man armor in these last two Avengers movies.

Conceivably Red Hulk could show up, but I'd rather see She Hulk and the Thing.

Apparently Warlock will not be in IW which is a huge bummer. But if Warlock and Magus with (purple skin, white afro and purple costume) show up in GotG3, all will be forgiven.

I also hope Ant Man gets a modern costume redesign at some point.

Valkyrie was recently confirmed and Loki may do a hero turn (he's like Magneto in that regard). I think a lot of them will be Easter egg type cameos. Keep in mind that SHIELD was supposed to be keeping tabs on heroes even if they weren't recruited into the Avengers Initiative. So we could see a number of B-level characters show up like Wonder Man, Captain Britain, Photon, Songbird, etc. They could also tap characters from the TV shows like Daredevil, Luke Cage and the Inhumans, although personally I'd rather not see that. The best news would be Marvel and Fox agreeing on Fantastic Four, even if it's just for these movies or some kind of a longer term deal. That could also mean Galactus, Silver Surfer, Frankie Raye Nova, Firelord, and even Doctor Doom. IW will probably be a $2 billion+ movie. This is the perfect opportunity to launch an all new Fantastic Four into the stratosphere as well as introduce their cosmic universe. I don't know how these two studios can't see how much money that could make for both of them, not just in box office but hundreds of millions in licensing dollars.

Man, TWS was so cool as a bad guy. Favorite MCU villain/anti-hero.

SW would look awesome with the headpiece.

No. More. Mutants...

Oh wait that's what the MCU already is :lol

I think they will amp up Wanda's costume for IW, in regards to her Civil War costume, the Russo's said she wasn't quite up to "superhero" stance just yet, she's still discovering herself and her powers, so I view her CW costume as her "middle evolution" :lol I think once we get to Infinity War she'll be a lot closer and have a more superhero-y costume (just god, please, not that awful leotard), though I don't think her costume necessarily has to be sexier. Sexy costumes have absolutely no function whatsoever, and I'd rather see Wanda with an amazing looking, functional, superhero costume than something to appease the male gaze.

Agree, tho I'm kinda easy-going about the *impracticality* of the many female comic book costumes. I mean, I always gotta laugh in the CW featurette where there's a quick look at a CW comic splash panel, and I don't know who this female character is but looks like her chest is just covered by this flap of cloth and I keep wondering how that stays on because it looks like just a flap:monkey3. And I idly wonder if Pyslocke finds those *sexy* straps around her thighs annoying etc:monkey3. (Read where that actress said the movie costume was tight rubber, she could barely get it on, and it smelled bad from the sweat - not exactly sexy...and Margot Robie/Harley Quinn wasn't too thrilled with the hot pants she had to wear, either)

But *shrug* IMO characters were originally drawn a certain way, and while the films are stuffed with eye candy (albeit eye candy that has mad acting skills:love), think Marvel is mindful of its audience - e.g. don't think we are going to be seeing lots of blood, chest hair, cleavage, and so on. Re the rating and all those kids in the audience. IMO tight catsuits and leggings on female characters is probably as sexy as it's gonna get.

Agreed. It's stupid. Except apparently Marvel went through a down period a while back, and sold off licensing; don't think Marvel is the problem so much as other studios wanting to keep all those (potential) millions for themselves; and wary of Marvel's involvement.

Too bad because a Deadpool cameo in IW would be hilarious.

Description of footage shown at D23. Some possible details on what to expect (spoilers if you haven't seen Homecoming).

- Cap has a beard now.
- Black Widow has blond hair.
- Thor's hair is still short.
- Spider-Man has the upgraded suit Tony offered him at the end of Homecoming.

So it looks like everyone who can have a new costume has some sort of alteration. Makes really want to hold back on any purchases until we see the HT onslaught for these things.
