Chase, I am so sorry to hear this. He was lucky to have a son like you. You are a good man, and I am sure you are the same kind of person your dad was. There is no doubt in my mind that he has a big smile on his face as he looks down upon at you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. So very sorry to hear about your dad, Chase. I lost my dad 10 years ago, and I still remember all too well how painful it was. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Chase remember what I said, if you ever want to talk man never hesitate. Before the 17th you and your father were on my mind a lot and very sorry to hear the unfortunate news. I can only imagine what your going through but remember to take it one day at a time. You have friends and family there for you in the real world and here on this forum. I wish for the best for you and your family for I have no doubt that your father was a great man and he definetly raised a great kid. Life is very fragile at times but keep rocking Chase, you keep on rockin! Get well my friend.

For those of you that remained interested in my fathers story this will be my last update.

Shortly after midnight on the 17th my Father, Pres Valdez, passed away after a 10 month fight with cancer.

I thank all of you who wished kind thoughts and shared your own stories over the last year with me.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Chase, you and your family are in my thoughts. I lost my mum to ovarian cancer 11 years ago, and it was a similar time period from diagnosis to death - not long enough. It sounds like your dad faced his ordeal with the same courage and love for his family that my mum did, and from that you can all draw strength.

Sucks man, I know how you feel.

My mother passed away 2 weeks ago. She had leukemia and the chemo that was being used damaged her lungs and she stopped breathing.
