That's pretty killer Quad! So, which light set is that? Are they 10W halogens, like you use in a detolf/cabinet?

no, i'm not sure of ikea's name for them, but the 10w halogens would get to hot i would think if they were left on to long.
these lights are the ones that look like little pucks and have about 8 diodes on the puck.

thinking i'm going to get another and try it on the bay. i don't know if it will do all that well, since it's not a piece that's all that sought after.
though looking at how some customized stuff does on there. you never know.

Thanks for the pics! You did an excellent job. I have now decided to pick this up to do just what you have done. Definately has made the piece that much better.

most definately makes the piece 200% better imo. go for it. if you have any questions feel free to pm me.

Thanks man, this is just one of the many reasons I love this board, members helping other members and inspiring them to make other cool stuff.

ok here are some more pics of the wiring and everything glued into place, sorry no pics of the actual lights. i had some but my daughter deleted them before i could save them to tinypics.:(

still have to clean off the epoxy once it hardens enough.
also pics of the type of plug i used. i actually wanted to use a power adaptor type plug and though i have many power supplies, i don't have any of the female plugs from the devices that i kept the supplies from.:duh

so i canibalized an old vhs player that had this type of hook-up, not as discrete as i would of liked but it works.
