That's not something I really consider or care about when I look at a character.

Why should past iterations from different creators influence how I view these particular characters?

It doesn't really

I just much prefer seeing new never before seen in theatrical live-action villains.

Batman Begins featured Ra's and Scarecrow and that was exciting to see them for the first time, it signalled good things for the future of the trilogy as far as original villains coming to the big screen. But then both sequels repeated villain we had seen already, very different adaptions but not a villain we've never had.

but there is no way you could have a Batman movie without having The Joker. just like Spider-Man having Green Goblin, those two are meant to be together

Ah, see I like seeing different interpretations of characters I'm a fan of. Example; I would love to see Webb's version of Doc Ock.

I love new villains, but I love carry-over villains even more. It makes them richer characters, with a bigger and better history with the heroes. I don't like seeing new villains just for the sake of being new.

Yup.

You could have a Batman and Spider-Man movie without Bane though. Well TDKR Bane anyway. Comic Bane is pretty great.

DKR Bane was represented a so much better than B&R Bane that you could consider it the first time seeing Bane in a movie. I would have loved to see Nolan's take on Mr. Freeze though

oh and i could bet right now that before the new Spider-Man trilogy os over, we will see Venom revisited in the movie, maybe even Doc Ock

A "decent" Bane has yet to be done.

Wait, give me a second. I bet I know who you voted for Ecko.

Bane, ALL THE WAY. Loki is no where near as interesting has Hardy's Bane was, Loki was generic evil bad guy materiel that held my interest during the film but the moment I left the theater I forgot about him. Bane on the other hand was interesting, different yet still paying homage to the classic movie monster/bond villain. Hardy made every scene he was in a feast and I still hear the chilling lines of Bane going through my mind from time to time. I guess there are more Loki fans on this board, fair enough.
