that adapter is a pain to get off though,i just pull the head off and sometimes it comes with the head, sometimes not, same with the peg joints on the arms.

Just pulled the V1 Joker head off and it was quite easy. I neck bit stayed with the body and the head just has a clean hole in the bottom... I take it the BR Joker head will have the same hole and I'll just stick it on.

Can't wait! :monkey5

you don't have to swap the whole connector but you could.
The part you pulled out would have had a connector stuck to the head that could seperate if there was a clean hole in the neck.

Yeah, the V1 head comes off easily enough (not TOO easily though, don't want it falling off all the time).

But it really is quite hard to get the V2 head on the V1 body, I had to push pretty hard--but don't worry about the paint, it's stays on really well, I've pushed and pulled the head pretty well and it didn't take any paint off.

What is the best way to remove the v1 sculpt? Hair Dryer?

Just pull and twist at an angle and the V1 should pop off easily. I don't have the BR yet, but if it is hard to pop on the V1 just heat up some water in the microwave and then dip the bottom of the V2 neck in it for about 15-20 seconds and it should pop on easily.

With the v2 head, I managed to get about half the adapter out of the head before it came off the body and then I managed to get a grip on the adapter with some scissors and pulled, dangerous though. If you can get it halfway out, some pliers should get it the rest of the way, otherwise a quick dip in some hot water and your'e golden. HT heads are a soft material, in hot enough water, it becomes so soft the adpater almost falls out.

Got mine today! :D

Still waiting on mine, 4 business days after my 'order completed' email from toys2...which is unusual.

One thing I just noticed though - in the 'product' listing the email says PRODUCT (deleted from database) where it would be expected to say Bank Robber Joker. Anyone have this in a toys2 email before?

Could just be because their records will show that it had already been charged and 'shipped' - since I requested it be charged to my credit card before it actually came in stock in light of worrying changes in the currency exchange rate.

Whats also worrying me is the fact I'm well overdue to receive a VISA bill. I hope something hasn't gone wrong. Going up to my bank tomorrow.

That's ok, more to come tonight :)

Looking forward to it. :rock

Sean, what are your overall thoughts on this figure? On a scale of 1 - 10?

Is it the best Hot Toys has put out in your opinion?

Thanks a bunch my friend. :)

Here's how I'd rank this figure.

PORTAIT SCULPTS - 9
Without question, the face on the v2 head is perfectly Ledger Joker, and the BR head is great for it's purpose. I wouldn't give it a 10 because the hair, while accurrate to Ledger, is a bit too scene specific for me, it's very much like the street showdown, but I don't think it's a good look to sum up the hair look for most of the movie, it's a bit to close to the head on the figure, like below.

This sort of hair would be a better summed up representation of the Joker to me, but that's my preference. Execution of the hair is great, It's just not my top choice for appearance.

MASK - 9
The mask is fantastic, other than using some more wear and tear look to it, it's a great item.

CLOTHING - 8.5
For the most part, the costuming is great. I took it down for 2 reasons. First, the sport coat, which is a new design, not the exact same as the suit coat with the first Joker figure, has some minor fit issues where it wrinkles or pulls down his arms in awkward ways in some poses and requires a little play to work them out, but that'd only be about half a point. The big factor is, while HT upgraded from the first Joker and added a snap to his shirt collar, I was dissappointed that it's the only button and the rest of the shirt is still closed by velcro. For something like the opening of a shirt, I'm really against velcro, it's not very strong at this size, my Joker vest on the other figure almost won't even stick anymore it's so weak, so the half-assed-ness of this shirt miffed me a bit.

ACCESSORIES - 10
Plenty of them, all made very well.

Overall, another fine HT figure, as good any POTC figure or other TDK figure.

I know some folks chant figure of the year for it, but for me, outside of the v2 portrait, it's nothing so unique or special to elevate it to the best of the year, I'd vote for TDK suit Batman first, that one impresses me more because of the engineering and R&D it takes to execute it the way they've done. Joker's a pretty traditional figure with great attention to detail, but nothing more than the HT standard.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think the IM Mark III will be FOTY (figure of the year).

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think the IM Mark III will be FOTY (figure of the year).

Like I said, when it comes to FOTY, especially with Hot Toys, I like the stuff that's out of the norm. TDK Batman, IM Mark III and Davy Jones are probably the more technically involved figures that I'm aware of this year.

Thanks for the great review and the pictures Sean. :bow

As usual, top-notch!
