lol.. I remember that. I'm talking about all the official pics that have come out with specs/release date. That one pic with the repainted V.1 Joker head was from some magazine.. and it was a scan. Not official imo.

I always thought I would prefer the Bank Robber Joker with the eyes straight ahead, but after seeing the manip a few pages back I actually prefer the posed eyes. The figure seems more alive somehow, straight ahead comes off as static and not as interesting.

I like the angle eyes. He never really look at anyone straight on in the movie. His head was always turned or tilted.

Yeah, I agree. Although I usually play around with my figures a lot to get a good position, which I change every few weeks (or days, or even hours if the fig is new :) ), and I really like posing my figs in different ways, I think that the (probably) few positions Joker will have because of the posed eyes will be better then the many poses a Joker would have if he had straight-forward eyes. Although I understand the position of a photographer, trying to get as many different and good shots as possible, I think the posed eyes are better for the average collector who simply displays the collectable in a certain pose.

With a repaint, it looks like you might be able to replicate this expression:

Well, the posed eyes are just unacceptable for me. I don't want a figure with eyes looking left, or right or posability predetermined by default. If I wanted posed eyes, I would have them repainted that way.

I just don't want to have to have a figures' eyes repainted so they can look straight. In this case it's the BR Joker with eyes painted left so it poses well with gun trained on a Bank Manager or whatever. That is the reference pose they are using in their Box Art.

The problem with this is I want to use this for my V1 Figure, and it seemed HT included the extra head to compensate for the V1 sculpt, so why have his eyes painted in a posed position? HT should have given the Collector the option of using this head to replace the V1...

Anyway, Rant off. I will have his eyes repainted by Les, so I CAN pose him as the Joker I want, whether it's Machine Gun street Joker, IR Joker or whatever.

I don't think I would touch the paint on that new head sculpt without latex gloves..I think it looks amazing. As for the eyes..that bothered me until I saw the promo shots or whatever of that head on the version one joker in the suit and long jacket. those look incredible.

I think the posed eyes add so much character to the likeness. If you notice in the movie he does that head-tilted-eyes-to-one-side-but-looking-straight thing in many scenes. This head is perfect for the interrogation scene (he does the sideways thing there when talking to bats) / the pointing gun at bank manager scene / talking to two-face scene / turning around looking at batpod scene just to name a few.

I think the posed eyes give more life to this figure although it may restrict the poseability I think the eyes work great. That expression really is errie!
