Question for my Baroness thread brothers and sisters:
Were you in my position, and trying very hard to be a good boy when it comes to selecting your new preorder collectibles...
Would you preorder an exclusive from Sideshow and use rewards points to make her about $320 plus shipping or...
Would you preorder a regular with a dealer for way less, and free shipping?
I guess my real question is, how important is this exclusive?
The Cobra Commander was a must as the exclusive version for me, if I was sticking with the line, which I now see myself doing after seeing Baroness, and Jason bringing me back to PFs...

Almost every SSC statues I own but 5 are all EXclusives. I order all ex direct from SSC. EX generally retain higher value regardless of ES. How much are we talking about saving if u are buying from a retailer or eBay? IMO, not very much.

1. I ordered the exclusive just because I like exclusives when it comes to PFs.
2. If you only have $30 in rewards points, don't waste it on a $350 item because you won't get any points for Baroness if you do.

Savings would be about $65, depending on what FedEx shipping from Sideshow would end up being. Also, been trying to look at new orders with a different perspective. That being, what do I want in the collection for the long haul, and not necessarily what will bring me my funds back if I decide to sell it down the line.

Very compelling argument for the exclusive. I'm very happy with my Jason regular. I know I'm considered a loser and a "FAIL" for that, but just my personal taste that I don't really ever see myself displaying him with the short bus portrait. I could see the same thing going on with Baroness. I know very little about weaponry, and to me a gun is a gun is a gun.
Any better reason that the Baroness would be using the MAC-10?

EX versions are cool and sometimes must buys, but if you want to save a little money and would only display it with the regular look, I see no shame in buying a regular from a retailer.

I decided she looked so much better with the Steyr Aug that I'd never display her with the MAC-10. Similarly with the Vampirella PF. I don't like the exclusive head at all. Ordered regular. Elite status and reselling be damned.

It's cool, especially since you can see her fangs, but I'm in love with the regular head. That's the only face I want to see on her. I have the exclusive comiquette and she takes care of my need for a fangs-bared ecstasy pose just fine.

I'm still fighting that temptation, but the idea of having them both on the shelf together is holding me back. We'll see how poor I end up in the next six months. She could pay for a lot of stuff, and I want a lot of stuff.
