Re: Batgirl - Written, Directed and Produced by Joss Whedon

Yeah, Kyle Katarn will always be the rebel spy that stole the Death Star plans in my eyes.

A little off topic, that War of the planet of the apes really made me give Reeves the benefit of the doubt, it's kind of a shame he and Mel Gibson are being used in this DCEU instead of saving them for the Reboot.

There's no need to reboot. None.

I don't want a reboot. It's going to be confusing and weird having the same actors as a reminder of the original "dark" films.

End this series of films with JL and start again in 5 years with a new cast, and each character gets a solo film with "phase" one ending eventually with an adaptation of "Infinite Crisis" and Super Boy Prime fighting everyone. Maybe have the old cast come back...as part of a multiverse.

That would be a reboot.

How about no more movies. Period

Re: Batgirl - Written, Directed and Produced by Joss Whedon

I take it you're skipping WW & JLA.
WW most likely, I won't go out of my way to see it, I do have some curiosity, it's another Ghost in the Shell, I kinda want to see it, but I already know it's bad.

JL I will definitely be seeing, Snyder will likely smuggle in some of his work among all that producer input, which will most likely go unnoticed by most people, but this whole deal already went sour with SS, so if JL is decent I'll be happy with my Snyder trilogy.

But there's no point at all in keeping going with this experiment, it's pretty obvious that this it's bound to lose its vision and identity in favor of the MCU makeup, so on that note, just start over, it's not like there's any narrative value in continuing with this universe if all you do is retconning, backpedaling, backtracking and twisting what you already established to appease the audience.

Also, they are not making a JLA movie.

That a reboot tho.

Whatever you call it that's what I want, make no mistake, I don't want MCU, but this Snyderverse already gave showed us everything it it could.

I thought they were planning to do a soft reboot after JL, but keeping the same actors, and just changing the tone and look of the new films?
That's a BS reboot.

Yeah, CBM's ruined everything.

I kinda like that idea.
I dont want to wait 5 years to see what they do

Keep making movies now.

Re: Batgirl - Written, Directed and Produced by Joss Whedon

It's too bad because I like Cavill, but if they restart everything, then they need to get a new actor.

Still, if WW gets bad reviews and doesn't do well and JL also gets bad reviews and it makes less money than BVS, then what?

By the time that happens (if it happens) the Aquaman film will be filming, so they'll release it next year and end it there? Then there are all these Batman related films coming in the next 3 years? It's all sounds messy.

If WW and JL do well, then ok, keep going with Aquaman and Batffleck....I guess.

Why? Keep him, I doubt Affleck wants to keep going though.

Why change? Because da confusion? That's a meme, people will get it, and if they don't, they'll still see the movie, it's not like they're not already confused by straight forward MCU plots, they're just too distracted by the jokes to care.

There's nothing but a stubborn sports team mentality from the people who don't seem to see where this is going, it's the same people supporting SS and the same people supporting WW. It's not conscious support, it's a stand, it's bro-hype and contrarian attitude.

They think the DC brand has inherent value, which maybe it does, but WB is really doing nothing with it past BvS.

Even if they continued with their MCU path but on the new rebooted universe, at least the Snyderverse would be a little self-contained and would keep a little of its integrity.

This is bound to leave us with nothing until they make the Snyderverse apocryphal anyway, it'll just take longer and will be more expensive.
