Batgirl AND Flash.

Supposedly this is really the costume, too.

I can't imagine how horrific an enormous turd this movie must have been shaping up to be when they decided it was actually better to just write off 90 million dollars. That's insane.

WB should scrap all film and television projects related to DC and just wait ten years and see what things are like then.

Then again, the garbage they churn out for CW and streaming seems to do all right, so maybe they just need to scrap the feature film division.

I gotta believe the super-hero fatigue is gonna hit the normies sometime. The MCU is already taking on water, and the DCEU was DOA from the very start.

Maybe Westerns will make a comeback. I don't know. The super-hero movie dominated for a long time, so it's only natural that it's gonna face a backlash at some point when audiences finally decide they want something new and different.

I think I'm giving too much credit to "audiences," though.
Lol that gotham knights show should definitely get axed. That show looks like absolute ***. I don’t think superhero movies will get old anytime soon. We been doing this since 2000 and people still anticipate hero stuff

New management at WB taking serious action. Keaton is out and Affleck is in....at least it seems.
Flash next movie to be reshot or redone lol

Meh. Batgirl would have been no better or worse than the DC films that have already been squatted out.
They've lost an entire generation to Marvel. Time to sell DC to Disney while superhero films are still saveur du jour.

It seems like the issue was more of a balance sheet thing. It cost $70 million to make, but be released on a streaming service, where there weren't actual receipts to track how much revenue the film generated. So, they have a new bean counter in charge who didn't like that idea, so they scrapped the movie. This is the same guy that shut down CNN+ after a few days, and it cost $300 million, so $70 million is not that big a deal to him.

It sounds like it was an accounting decision rather than an indictment of the film's quality.

Something behind the scenes we do not know occurred. Quality maybe be one factor- perhaps it just didn't mesh with the new direction DC might be taking. Disney fixed Rogue One and Solo but to not even try on this...hmmm

Apparently this was just a tax write-off, along with a new animated Scooby Doo movie that was also close to completion. The theory that this decision is part of a grand scheme to trim the fat of the DCEU and refocus it seems to be holding less and less water.

I wonder if this’ll get leaked. I can’t help but imagine tons of crew members are livid - for good reason.

It can't be that simple. That's the exit plan to recoup the losses sure but maybe it does suck and fixing it for theatrical release will cost a lot more than it's worth.

It must seriously be one of the worst movies of all time. Keep in mind, this is from the same studio that thought a cgi’d Cavill face was completely acceptable. So for them to say it’s “bad” is mind blowing lol.
