So DiFab isn't alone. Looks like I got the same QC issues on mine too.

It's definitely the Cocoon causing the paint rubs on the body. The window glue appears to have separated from the body and oxidized. It definitely was not there when I first removed the plastic covers.

I've had my delivered just Monday morning... I'll do an unboxing later and hopefully won't have the same issues some of you have described. I'd hate to be SOL on this bad boy after waiting a year for it.

I didn't peel the protective film off my circular windows yet (I kept them on there and on the windshield so I didn't smudge em up). Now I'm almost afraid to. :lol

My request was sent to the Returns department, so there's that. I'm really hoping I can start fresh and get a brand new one. As nice as this piece is, those scratches and blemishes have left a bad taste in my mouth. That's all I see when I look at it now even when I try to put it out of my mind. If they were all like that, I'd just deal with it and suck it up, but I've looked through pics and have seen seemingly pristine ones.

Also check your seats. My passenger seat doesn't feel like it was installed all the way, feels sort of funky compared to the driver side.

Yes, my driver seat was a little loose. Noticed that when i tried to get Bats in it but he wouldn't fit even with boots off so I just gave up.

All these qc issues are making my ocd side scared beyond belief. I bought it from a retailer, so I have no idea what I'll do if mine arrives with these issues.

My reaction better not be

when I get mine.

All these issues are getting me worried as well, not sure what AE will do if there's an issue.

They will likely have SS determine its fate. I had a defective Batpod last fall and they had me take a bunch of pictures to send to SS before I eventually RMAd it back to them. Whole process took about 2 weeks but I opted for a refund over a new Batpod.

!*@#@*! BS!!!! never buying from hot toys in HK ever again, they pushed back my delivery until Mid August now!!! I tried calling them to see if I can arrange earlier shipping, but they said no... HT is the worst in customer service...

Yeah, that's the policy.

I wonder if Sideshow will make me try and send this back to them or what. Shipping will be crazy either way.

If they have you ship it back or get a partial refund, what will you do? Because in the end you'll be paying $150+ to ship it back compared to getting a partial refund.
I don't think shipping it back is an option at this rate unless if SSC is willing to pay for the return shipping, which I kinda doubt because they then have to reship the brand new one which in the end would add up to the cost of this vehicle itself. Even I understand that having such marks on something that cost this much is unacceptable but really you would be looking at paying $150-$200 on top of what you had to pay for this alone.

The QC is quite upsetting but with how big this is and the cost alone to ship it back and forth, I'm curious on how they will handle this matter.

You haven't heard back from yet?

In normal circumstances, they pay for return shipping on items, but this is no normal item, so I really have no idea what they're going to do.

Not a good situation with the QC and the fact that shipping is outrageous. Hell, this could end up being a frigging disaster.

I think SS will offer $30 credit and call it a day.

I'd lol hard for a few minutes, then get really pissed. That wouldn't even cover the shipping I paid. :lol

I'm hoping they just have me destroy this sucker into oblivion, you know, smash it up real good. The Batmobile, the shield, everything. Then give me a round two with a completely new vehicle.

For some reason I'm getting kinda antsy. I keep thinking, "man, this thing is big, what if they tell me to **** off". Too bad it wasn't just the canopy that was messed up, then they could just send me that. Wrap it up, ship it out for 10 bucks, BAM, done.

They do that to all the statues now, I think they will do the same on this one since the shipping is so expensive. Damn it looks like lots people got QC issue now.
