They'll probably have a midnight release for this.
Looks like you were right, sir, Midnight release it is. I'm going to be playing this thing all night

I thought BB PO was just the battle pack. So it also includes HQ?
I'm getting too old for this ****.
The problem for me is when they release the dlc weeks/months after the games been out. After you've moved on to the next game. This dlc better all be there on release day.
I'm the opposite with these games. If something gives me a rwason to pull it back out all the better. I've actually gone through and replayed both AA and AC after getting everything because I loved both games that much. So if AK is just as good DLC will just give me a reason to take it off the shelf again after I've completed what ever we get day one.I'm not sure! I just went to the Canadian Best Buy site and saw Harley. Let me go check *goes to check* Looks like that's correct! That's cool. I'm all for some extra weapons and such.
It's such a mixed bag, but it's mostly this. I've got a time span with most games...like, Shadow of Mordor was FANTASTIC! I loved it. I played it for a long time and tried to find EVERYTHING on the map. Then I realized I was going really fast and would likely beat it soon, but I was having too much fun, so I slowed down. Then work got busy, other things came up and I haven't returned to the game yet. Not that I won't, but I'm totally out of the groove I was in. I should've just stuck with it and beat it. All that said, now there are extra stories you can add onto it, but I have no desire.
There's just SO much on the horizon! Metal Gear Phantom Pain, Witcher 3 (which is out, but I haven't picked up yet), Until Dawn, Mad Max, Drake Remastered, Battlefront...there's just no real time to beat Batman, and then go back 3 months later to play as Robin or something. I'll already be invested elsewhere.
I know with Arkham City that's how it was. I wasn't a fan of the timer in that game. I hadn't found half of the baddies, Freeze's wife or anything like that and yet the game forced me to beat it. Then it said "You can go and complete it all after now that the emergency is done!" and I was like, "Yeah, no." For some reason not having the over-arching threat in the background made the city feel...empty. The threat was done. It felt weird to have Batman just go back out and beat up thugs.

I basically look at season passes as what next gen games should be and probably should cost given the nirmal price rise between generations. I figured next gen gamesvto be $80 to $100. What I think game companies are doing is we'll give you most if the content and a complete story for $60 but if you want huge side missions and extra battle modes and skins you're going to have to pay full next gen prices for it. So its a choice they give us. Play a complete game for last gen price or pay this gens price and get all the cool extras you were really meant to have.Oh, I'm all for playing games multiple times! I can't wait for the remastered versions of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City...I'll definitely go through them again! I'm not a trophy guy, so I don't need to find everything, but I am eager to try and clear out all of the City before things hit a timer next time!
I loved the mini-Catwoman story from City, and that'd be great for Arkham Knight...I believe that's what the season pass offers. I'm not really overly keen on the challenge maps. They're okay to try out, but my OCD is focused elsewhere! A buddy of mine platinums them all though. I just wish the season pass was cheaper. Isn't it like $40? I know you get to play as Batgirl in a prequel storyline...so I guess it depends on how long that is. I'd guess it'll be under two hours, and likely land in and around an hour.
I don't think much more has been revealed, so I guess we'll wait and see. They go on sale from time to time, so I could see myself grabbing it if it goes up for 40% off or something. I'd like to play as Batgirl!
In fact, the Arkham games are one of the few games I'd come back to for content. I'm amazed that more studios haven't followed Rocksteady's lead and created other superhero games with this sort of format. They're just so brilliant. You always feel like you're Batman! The gameplay is why I liked Shadow of Mordor so much...feeling like you're a strong character when you're supposed to be one is great.

That's one way to talk yourself into it!
Well, with our dollar going up games are $75 here already in most cases. Still, I mean, I'm not against people buying DLC! However you want to work it so that it makes sense to you is all good. I'll buy DLC from time to time, and I know that most games I enjoy have enough content in them so that DLC really is a bonus and isn't the end of the actual game.
My next "big" gaming choice is Until Dawn. Not sure if you've heard of it, but it's the one starring Hayden Panettiere where you're basically in a horror movie. It's a PS4 exclusive, and you play as eight friends up in a cabin, and your decisions can make it so that at the end of the game all eight live, all eight die, or a variation in between!
Amazon.ca/.com have a PO bonus where you get another chapter with a couple who go up there. I'm sure it's a small little addition, and it won't affect the main game any, but it's neat to have even more to play! It all comes down to whether or not the game will actually deliver. This is one of those times when it could go either way and be fantastic, or mediocre. If I PO at Gamestop then I can return it after three days if it's terrible and exchange it for another game at the same price point that's in stock -- though they don't seem to have any PO bonuses.
So it's take the risk and get the extra chapter, or play it safe and maybe buy the extra chapter for $10 or so down the road.
Here's some gameplay footage if you've never heard of it! I LOVE the concept of the game...the graphics look amazing, and if they pull it off, it could be an amazingly fun horrific romp!
I have an Xbox One, so my next game after Batman is probably Rise of Tomb Raider, which looks amazing but we don't have much info yet. E3 will probably shine more of a light on it though.
Hyped for Bats AK! Put in arkham city to refresh myself with the combat and was whooping some serious butt. Did anyone have the Penguin challenge map? ( ithink it came with a preorder package) It was unlimited goons and you would fight until you got KO'd. Such a great map, highest score set this morning - 461,000
Is it the 23rd yet?
This, alongside MGS5 are the only games I'm getting this year... Well, I'm also buying Dishonored remastered as I never finished the 360 version.
Like hell Fallout 4 is making it this year.
