If the Joker is truelly dead then there's no place for Bruce in this series.
Kill him or nor, don't care at this point. There are other Batmen, tell their stories.

Yeah, I would mind too, it'd be like taking away the toys once they're done playing with them, I want an expanded universe, and the Arkham-verse is perfect to be the base for it all.

If that expanded universe is coming from WB Montreal, then, as far as I'm concerned, they can take their toys and burn them all before they leave.:lol

Other Batmen? I think that one of the points of Knightfall/Quest/End was that it's more than just the suit that makes Batman. Also, Joker is not the end of Batman, it's the struggle with the war that makes him Batman, not a clown in a purple suit.

Honestly I hope they just reboot after this game. This is Rocksteady's vision for Batman, I wouldn't want anyone else carrying on from here, and with Joker dead, and all the villains of Gotham uniting for what seems to be their last stand to take down Batman, it would become tedious and take away from the games before it if they keep releasing Batman games in this universe.

Rocksteady should be able to do whatever they like with the story and close it out they way they want to, whoever takes over after this should create their own Batman universe, even if it's a soft reboot using the same engine.

Both Grayson and McGinnis as Bats were good takes.
I'm not Wayne purist, sorry.

Joker is the essential character for Wayne's Bat, without him the story would require the entire DCU to make things interesting.

Grayson is a good successor, McGinnis I've never been high on.

Joker is not essential considering some of the best Batman Stories ever told have absolutely nothing to do with The Joker. i.e. Batman: Year One, Batman: Daughter of the Demon, Batman: Half an Evil, hell even the best BTAS episodes; Night of the Ninja, Heart of Ice, Beware the Grey Ghost aren't Joker Centric.

Does the Joker make for a Good Story? Sure, is he a great Villain? One of the Best. Is he essential to telling Batman stories? Absolutely not.

Could be a good end to their series. They kill off Bruce, a new character takes his place. Maybe Grayson and you play the open world as Grayson afterwards (kinda like Red Dead Redemption did it).

Plus I think it relieves Rocksteady duties from making Batman games for a while. They can then move on to something else, which I am sure they are itching to do. If done right, it may be one of the greatest VG stories and endings of all time.

:goodpost::exactly:

I just feel if it's left open, it'll just turn into Assassin's Creed. Rather Batman die and all is good.

Gasp; I cant think of very many people in the MCU that died and came back. I know the whole Spidey Ock thing, Extremis Iron Man, Cap. Most of the time it's a different universe and blank died.

Dc had Todd, Bruce, Queen, Diana, Superman, Aquaman, Jordan, Flash, and a few others that I just blanked out on.

Marvel Comics? You're kidding? Jean grey, I've lost count how many times, Mr. Sinister, Sabretooth, Cannon Ball, Colossus and The Punisher...and that's off the top of my head.

I wouldn't doubt it, I'm really not super familiar. I've read a few of the major story lines, but I've never really kept up with X-Men, except for the Ultimate series which only had Gambit killed.

It'd be silly if they kill off Batman. It'd be equally silly if The Joker is actually dead when the Lazarus pit was introduced in Arkham City.

There's way too much wild speculation on it :lol. It could've be an overconfident villain giving a speech about killing Batman.

I just hope Rocksteady isn't trying to emulate TDKR.

The statue that comes with the LE definitely hints at Batman's death. Of course I don't think that'll happen, but as of right now I'm definitely getting a TDKR vibe from all of this, I loved the movie but I wouldn't want to see the same ending again. I trust that RS will deliver on the ending though.

I just hope the statue is some sort of Easter Egg for the game, rather than a full-blown spoiler :lol. Maybe like a Gotham in the distant future, giving remembrance to Batman and all that he's done.

No thanks, no other Batman like OG Batman, even without Joker.

How very Konami of you.

In the comics everybody comes back from the dead, Marvel and DC alike, if they're popular they're coming back, the most recent ones are Deadpool, Wolverine and Batman.

I'm talking MCU.

It absolutely is. A swift death is preferable to what will happen if the enemy get their hands on you.:lecture

The enemy was able to make a story up to RS standards, arguably better, and have better character designs as well (for the most part), while giving a little more variety to the gameplay, this while only day caring the franchise while AK was being made.

They don't have to keep releasing Batman games, just keep the universe canon, expand it, and bring other characters and their games.
