When does that usually happen? I'm on the same boat....

Nothing concrete but should be this Sunday afternoon, according to folks who know better than I. I'm just leaving my PS4 on standby so it should download by itself whenever it's out.

Oh, ok. I bought it an its on my "purchases" list, but (understandably) not on my download list.

Does that happen automatically? Mine is on standby mode (updates download automatically and so on) so I'm not sure if I need to do something else...

Think it's supposed to be midnight on release day, Pacific Time.

You mean the midnight exactly on launch day? No, it doesn't work that way. Pre-loads are meant to give buyers access to the game as soon as the clock strikes midnight, launch day. It's just a matter of when does the pre-load starts.

Click on the Arkham Knight title and see if you have set the game to auto download as the default for such setting is is OFF. I almost miss that myself. There's also a 3+GB day one patch so I hope the game is released a.s.a.p.

Yeah that's exactly what I mean. You download the game in advance, but the preload doesn't unlock until midnight on release day. I though the original question was asking when the game unlocks and becomes playable, not when you're able to download the files.

Ok, not near my PS4 ATM (I'm assuming that's done on the PSN store on the actual PS4) as its not giving me that option on the desktop application.

Thanks for the help. I have the day off for this thing and I need to play it at 12:01.

Yeah you're right about that. It's just that 50GBs plus the day one patch and DLCs is gonna take awhile, everybody's anxious to just get this installed already. :lol

Probably not a feature available on the desktop then, here's how it should look on the PS4 itself, it's easy to miss:

Gr8, thanks!

Also, what's this day one patch? What does it fix?

From playstationlifestyle.net:

While Batman: Arkham Knight doesn’t release until next week on June 23, it appears some copies have made their way to gamers, with one user on Reddit posting a screenshot that reveals update 1.01 is 3.527GB.

According to the patch notes, this update will improve performance, fix issues, and add some new features:

Improved Performance
Stability Fixes
New feature: Rival Points
New feature: Original Batsuit skin available to select
Support for “A Matter Of Family” additional content
General gameplay, graphical, audio, UI, and localization fixes

I've watched 4 reviews so far, all saying the story and structure of the story are very uneven, Arkham Knight is a very underwhelming villain, and tacked on Batmobile sections are what's really hindering the game. It's getting great scores but the reviews don't seem to be being glowing.

Damn impressive...
Seems perfectly optimized and looks great for PS4 performance.
If this is true, I'm very happy for my console friends. :lol

i may play this a bit late, awaiting my PC in 2-3 weeks and play it in 60fps

one thing though, is that we havn't heard a thing about the Xbox One Version .. not even gameplay, they showed PS4 alot and bit of PC ..

The game looks like it's trying to accomplish too much just from the gameplay videos alone. Riding the Batmobile is cool, but did Rocksteady really have to deck it out with so many offensive weapons? It reminds me too much of Twisted Metal.

Yea, I would have been content just driving the Batmobile to get from point A to point B.

Another thing they said is that Batman can totally run people over with the Batmobile at full speed and they don't die. That pretty funny and ridiculous at the same time.

Still can't wait for the game but I'm really not looking forward to blowing up tanks half of the time.
