Great! I'm sure you'll love it. It starts off a little slow to get you accustomed to the game, and introduce you to the storyline but things pick up after a few hours. It's a fairly long game. If you choose to do all the side-quests, you're looking at maybe 100 hours plus.

But seriously if you previously tried the mission and failed you'll have to leave the mission and come back later when it resets.

I'm sticking to my guns and saying it again. The ending is not Inception. It's not open ended.

Spoilers :

Go back and watch what happens when Scarecrow gets a dose of toxin at the end. The way he sees Batman is exactly the way he appears to the criminals at the very end of Knightfall. The same red eyes, and red bat logo, the world crumbling, everything. The end is simply Bruce showing back up in his suit, it reignites the criminals worst fears which is Batman as a legend, and they trip out from all having been exposed to the fear toxin during the cloud burst. Crane, an Arkham shrink ultimately and accidentally cures crime in Gotham by elevating Batman back to a myth and "medicating" all the criminals who stayed behind. As word of his existence spreads, it will prevent criminals from even being able to commit crime out of fear. Only those who fled and return or grow up and become future criminals won't fear Batman in that way.

By the time I got to the end I honestly didn't care anymore. There really wasn't much I liked about this one which is really too bad. I love all the other ones.

Did 100% earlier, I liked the ending... I just hope the questions around it get answered in DLC.

I go back and forth, but I liked the ending as well. It's nowhere near the brilliance of the BTAS ending, but it's way better than both Miller's and Nolan's version of TDKR.

But then doesn't that mean it's not really a good ending? If you need DLC to get some sort of conclusion?

People having to pay for DLC to get the true ending is just ridiculous in my opinion, I remember when Dead Space 3 did that, I actually couldn't believe it :lol

The 100% ending is an ending. There's no dlc requirements to get any sort of "true ending" or anything. And I personally dont think it needs any sort of explanation. Stories don't need a "and they lived happily ever after where the Prince got a job as a car salesman and the princess got knocked up by two different men, etc." Ending everytime.

I never said it wasn’t an ending, but if someone wants DLC to flesh it out, then I don’t understand how they can be satisfied with that ending. Mass Effect 3 had an ending too, and it was a horrible one that needed to be fleshed out with DLC because it in fact did have major plot holes and made very little sense.

I hated the ending because to me it wasn’t satisfying, especially with the amount of work you have to put in to unlock it, and it didn’t even really fit with the whole theme of the game. I have no problem with anyone liking the ending though.

Anybody going for the trophies/achievements? I got everything done except completing New Game+. Turns out to be nowhere near as infuriating as Arkham City. Top of the World Extreme still gives me nightmares. :lol

I've completed the game 100% And I'm missing one character showcase, it says I have 104/105, and it seems to be a skin. Anybody have everything? What am I missing, is this for the Batgirl DLC perhaps?

Finally got 100%, it took two weeks and it was quite the ride. This is by far my favorite batman game, it's not even close. My only complaints are the bait and switch they did with Arkham Knight, they didn't exactly make his reveal that surprising or shocking and the campaign for disarmament ended in a tank battle and not a hand to hand fight, that's the only major blunder this game really had.

LOVE the bat mobile, I actually had fun hunting down the riddler goons in the car towards the end of the game getting all the riddler locations, such a blast to use, in both car and tank mode.

Do people actually think batman is dead? When I saw the ending I smiled and thought to myself I can't wait for the next one when batman makes his return. And as far as the stylized reveal of what looks to be Batman, I think that was rocksteadys way of saying even though batman maybe gone right now, it's still under watch by Robin, Nightwing, Oracle, Azreal, and Knight. If anything, gotham is more safe under their watch than it was under under just batmans.

Okay I'm going to use some spoiler tags here

Pturtle, I think what Ryan means is that with the 100% ending we see the new Batman, and Ryan, as are many of us, are Curious if that's Bruce or not. It doesn't take away from the ending they gave this particular story but actually makes your imagination as to who this could go a little crazy.

There is however an allusion to the new Batman before the ending. If you Beat the Main story before going to beat finish all the riddler trophies and take on the Riddler, I'm assuming this is how most people did it, there's a conversation between Selina and Bruce after the fight where Bruce says Gotham needs something more than Batman now, more of a Myth.

Bruce is basically saying that now that he's been outted the next protector of Gotham will have to be even more Mythical and more of Legend than he was because if someone just shows up in a Batsuit they're going to assume it's him. Which is why at the very end of the Game the Batman that attacks those thugs is in fact more mythical looking and scarier than Batman was previously.

This of course leads me to believe it is Bruce and he's just taken Batman to another level, but it could also be someone Bruce has picked to replace him and given some new element to frighten criminals once again, but that's just my speculation

You know that actually makes a lot of sense lol I forgot about that conversation.

now that you reminded me of the myth thing, I wonder if batman found a way to make a non lethal weaponized mix of scare crows toxin to create a new version of himself in the eyes of Gothams criminals.

There's a lot of people thinking that because

In the beginning of the game Bruce takes an untainted sample of the new fear toxin and uploads the chemical composition to his computer for Oracle to analyze. It could also just be some new Tech Bruce has that allows for imagery to be projected around him. In any case because he makes mention of what needs to happen it sort of tells you that he is at the very least alive and aware of what the new protector of Gotham is doing.
