I managed to capture a video of what's happening. As you can see, no matter which skin I use it always reverts back to the 89'mobile for the 89 tracks. Weird

That's truly baffling. I guess you could try to Restore License in the settings, there's a chance that might help.

I just want the BTAS next, I couldn't care less about the Nolan crap.

:lecture :exactly:

Phew! After an hour or so of trying, I finally managed to get 3 Star Rankings on all 4 of the 89 tracks, here they are:

Nice work! I really do hope we see the 66 Batmobile and the BTAS one (and maybe even TNBA version) released. I know Rocksteady didn't want to shift any of their effort from the single-player experience to have multiplayer available in any of their Batman games -- but how sweet would it be to race these tracks against a few of your friends, all in different Batmobiles, and all with the ability to control the pop up car-destoying obstacles (so if you clear one, you can instantly sabotage the guy right behind you)? It would be awesome chaos!

I know right! It's not a massive deal I suppose, I just thought I could do better on the 89 tracks with the Arkham Batmobile, but it is slightly annoying not being able to use them.

Also, nicely done on the 89 tracks there! :D

Thanks! I'd love to see ALL the Batmobiles, but I hope you don't have to do all the AR Challenges like the 89, which needs 33 Stars! :horror

You see the left and right arrows next to the text of "1989 Movie Batmobile" on the track select screen? Maybe that's where you can cycle through different Batmobiles?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I would never have spotted that. It does let me change them from there. :D

Glad to help -- I actually didn't know that would work, just guessed when I saw those arrows -- last night when I played I only thought to use the 89 Batmobile.

Agreed... But here is one thing to note... Notice how when they showed the 89 stuff it had the suit and the 89.. With The Tumbler it's just the Tumbler and 2 race tracks... I have a feeling we're just getting the tumbler... Even the description says nothing about an Dark Knight skin...

"1989 Movie Batmobile Pack: Battle through the streets of Gotham City with this pack that includes the Batman skin and Batmobile from the 1989 Batman film, as well as two tracks inspired by the film’s sequel. Coming in August."

and here's the tumbler description...

2008 Tumbler Batmobile Pack (Later in Sept.): Inspired by the 2008 movie The Dark Knight, intimidate your foes with the Tumbler Batmobile and race through two themed tracks.

But then again... I could careless about any Nolan crap.. Rather have BTAS,66,Forever,Asylum Batmobiles and suits

I thought I was the only one. Even with the nipples, I like that suit... since it's still pretty reminiscent of the Keaton suits.

I think it's the blackest suit in all the films.

I know I will get hate for this But I love the Forever Batmobile and Panther suit....

Nah man, I still enjoy watching Forever because of this stuff too. While it's not a good movie by any means, it tried taking the Batman movies in a different direction from the Burton movies.

And then there's this --

We're getting a Nolan Dark Knight Batsuit. Period. Well, correction --- some of us will get it. It seems like some are absolutely determined to avoid getting it. ;)

I want a Keaton game so bad. They could set it between 89 and returns.

Ok maybe we will be getting it still makes complete to no sense why it's not in the description or on the promo image then... Of course maybe they had it planned and scrapped it.. Not that it matters As I will only play the tumbler once to get the 3 stars on the race tracks and then be done with it.

That would be interesting -- RockSteady has done so much with the Batman video game franchise, so don't get me wrong -- I'm very impressed and appreciative of their run --- BUT --- there is still soooo much more that can be done with the Batman experience in video games, I feel like they scratched the surface. For starters, a massive Gotham (with civilians!) and random street crimes that you can stop / muggings etc to rescue people from on your way to main story missions / Massive Batcave with EVERY movie and TV vehicle and Batsuit as options (even if you have to "earn" them by unlocking them) / Bruce Wayne mode / Multiplayer co-op and competitive (take on story missions alone, or as part of a crew of Batman and/or any combination of his sidekicks). Batmobile races (against AI, the clock, or online) Mission editor / map builder for you to set up your own events when you've beaten all of the story ones and DLC...that you can share online so other fans can download and vote up the best ones.

I really like batfan's earlier idea too

Since everyone is, rightfully, obsessed with movie skins, I'd love it if one of these studios decided to take it a step further and make up for all of the ****** tie-ins, by making a sort of, I don't know "Legends of the Dark Knight" game, where it's basically just one, big celebration of Batman. Could you imagine playing as the '89 Batman, with an actual Keaton likeness, and chasing Napier and his goons through Axis Chemicals in a Predator Encounter? A '66 battle full of onomatopoeia thought-bubbles and West and Ward voice-overs?

Hell, what if you could actually play through the opening credits of The Animated Series in an authentic recreation of Bruce Timm's Gotham? Chase down the bank robbers in the TAS Batmobile, against those red skies and looming skylines, and, ultimately, confront them on that rooftop, and that's just some of the movie and TV stuff; you still have the Nolan films, potentially, Snyder's stuff, and a whole 75+ year history in comics that you could look through for inspiration.

All together - THAT would be the ultimate Batman game.
