It's set in Gotham on Christmas Eve, with 8 assassins hired to kill Batman. Expect a Returns vibe, all snow and gloom, but with a fully open world to explore.

Since it's before Arkham 1, I fully expect Hamill back in some capacity, maybe even Harey Dent pre-Face.

My take on the Assassins:
Deathstroke
Deadshot
Lady Shiva
Sensei

I'm kind of lost on who else they should use. But they should all have been hired by Black Mask or Penguin. I vote to leave Joker out of this one. He wouldn't hire an assassin to take out Batman. So let's explore other great villains.

Having a un-masked Batman sit at the Batcomputer, while thinking about his parents getting shot, and letting us re-play that and many other flash back sequences.

That's the game I want!

So it sounds like the game takes place in one night. (Xmas eve). I have a feeling this will be a heavy game full of flashbacks.

Arkham city had a sort-of Batman Returns vibe too it with the snowy Dark setting, so if this one is the same that's a good thing imo. Can't wait too hear more about this. October will be here before we know it fellas, just think it's already April!

Soon as Batman suits up on the roof of the chemical building in AC, with the snow and music I could not help but only think of Batman Returns. Snowy Gotham has such a better mood.

I hope Arleen Sorkin is back for Origins to do Harley.

Hopefully we get more of the same with origins. It will be neat when I think about it. All the thugs will act like they did in the 89' Batman when they thought he was a 6ft supernatural Bat or drank blood

Me too, it's what I grew up with more.

The Nolan films are good, but I will always prefer Keaton. I like the Burton dark gothicness a hellva lot more than Chicago.

Batman Returns setting and the overall dark tone is my favorite, but my favorite pre-Nolan movie would still be Batman (1989)

Hopefully we'll get a first encounter with Bane too, with a more original look as opposed to his Asylum attire, since it mentions he's going to encounter some supervillains for the first time in this game. Hopefully he'd get better treatment in terms of M.O. too then.

I don't know about leaving him out of it, but maybe have the game starting with Batman capturing Joker before the assassin's arrive. I do agree that we should get another villain as the main focus of the game though.

The most important aspect in my opinion (besides keeping the same basic gameplay) is having the same Dark tone and atmosphere.

Yes! I also hope Kyudai Ken is in it too. I would really like them to go over the whole origin.

I'm really concerned with who wrote the story. Keeping the exact same game engine would be fine by me, but the story has to be good or this game is sunk
