I'm new to collecting but fail to understand why Hot Toys would wait so long to show the Arkham figures. Being that it's basically Batman and the Joker in comic book form, I imagine they'll sell incredibly well. I want both of these figures more than I wanted anything from the Nolan films.

There's 2 games here.

Another addition and a prequel.

The game for 2013 is not Rocksteady.
The game for 2014 which is the Prequel to AA is being developed by Rocksteady.

It seems like people didn't read the article. It clearly says there are 2 games in development and Rocksteady is working on one of them.

For some reason known to no one HT loves Iron man. It must be huge in china or something because they have been pumping out these iron man 3 specs left and right. Funny because I hate the new suit in this third movie.

It's probably a lot cheaper to cast armor pieces from the Iron man molds, paint and sell compared to clothed figures.

The sad truth is that while Batman geeks(like myself) loved Arkham Asylum and City, they were only successful in the video game world. Nolan's films(the last 2 especially) made over $1 Billion worldwide. Nolan's films have a much wider audience than the comic ever has. As much as i like you want the Arkham City versions, I can understand their lack of speed.

Your post confuses me a quite a bit.... You say Rocksteady are making a prequel, which would mean we're getting two prequels?

I've read all of what's available online so far and none of it confirms anything from Rocksteady. Just that their project is being kept under wraps. Was there more in the actual magazine than shown online?

Rocksteady is working on a next gen sequel to Arkham City.

Unfortunately though, Arleen Sorkin has retired but I'm sure Tara Strong will be back.
Mark Hamill won't stop playing the Joker.

I really hope we get a proper Scarface in Arkham Origins, they should bring Hamill back for him as well, that would be fun.

You're definitely right about the mass appeal of Nolan's films vs. the Arkham games. I'll just keep hoping that we'll see these figures sooner rather than later.

I'm just glad this is set in Gotham finally, I'm even more excited that it's set in Winter which bring that ol familiar feeling of Batman Returns.

Unless DC plans to have Iron Man do a special guest appearance, I doubt this is even a blip on HT's radar. I hope they prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

HT have already shown Teasers for Both Batman and Joker from Arkham City. But yeah they're waaayyyy to focused on Iron Man to actually release them.

Actually by the descriptions, it sounds like a modified Arkham City layout. Amusement Mile not being flooded yet suggest that. Tracking down Penguin too. Basically its Arkham City before it was walled off as a prison. I expect a lot of reuse in the layout because of that. So yeah its technically Gotham now, but the same part of Gotham we've played in before.

I'm excited though. Always liked Black Mask's white suit look. And Deathstroke looks awesome too
