Just sayin, Batman has to either stay like Nolan, or (which is what im wanting here) Arkham Asylum/City and BTAS style. Thats THE Batman for me. Perfect mix of grittyness but with the superb handling of the more sci fi.characters. BTAS was perfect how it delt with the sad elements of Batmans foes. Feat of Clay was awsome and touching. Just like appointment in crime alley. Always a sad episode.

Thats one thing that bothered me with Nolan and Burton got right; Keaton going to Crime Alley. I wanted Bruce to at least break down at his parents' grave. After Rachels death wouldve been perfect.

but yeah. I want that style or im just not bothered.

:lecture Indeed. :goodpost:

The entire theater laughed at the "trigger" scene. :lol

I blame Toronto Batman. :lol

I don't need to see see The Joker, Two Face, Catwoman or Bane anytime soon in a new universe.

I don't think the Riddler or Penguin are intimidating enough to be the first villain in a reboot either. I hope they go with Mr. Freeze as the primary baddie again with Killer Croc as the secondary foe.

Riddler and Penguin are pretty effective in Arkham City. I would be happy with those versions brought to the big screen.

I agree but I really want to see Freeze AND Croc and if they just do one villain (Freeze let's say) then it'll be a couple years before the reboot, a couple years later until JLA, and then another couple years until the reboot sequel.

I'd rather see Freeze and Croc together than Freeze and wait six years for Croc.

vs. saving him for an epic follow-up to take our minds off a JLA which is likely going to be highly underwhelming? :dunno

Batman vs Predator...LOL......................I'M SERIOUS!

Been done, and arguably just as good, if not better, as anything you'd ever see "officially!"

I saw that quite awhile ago...What amazed me about that short film is that even to this day its the best looking (visually)Batman(comic cowl look) and Joker ever on screen...I'M again SERIOUS!...It was a Comic book Batman!

Entertainment Weekly is apparently pushing for HUSH to be the next basis for Batman films.

Interesting idea if you can get past the historical aspects laced through it although I don't think it'd work ultimately.

Hush wouldn't be terrible. Maybe they'll go toward something like the Arkham series ... something that jumps right into the action -- no origin story -- and features a lot of villains.

Hush might work, I guess. The Robin angle, would be a little weird, though, without any real on-film progression through the Robins. I actually think a well-done Robin origin would be a good place to start the reboot.

I dont want Robin, id rather have Nightwing and pick the film up a good 4-5 years into the career of Batman.

Starting with Nightwing makes a leap in continuity that non-comics people aren't going to follow without explanation. I think Nightwing would be great ... for the sequel.

I think they should do a Robin trilogy. Definitely start a few years into Batman's tenure. Batman's definitive origin has been told ... the various Robin origins have not. To me, Robin is the most unexplored area of Batman mythology. That's the story that needs telling ... a badass Robin story arc.

Start with Grayson's Robin origin. Maybe with Two Face as the major villain like in Robin: Year One. In the sequel, jump ahead a few years to Grayson's split with Batman, Jason Todd origin, Nightwing emergence, and Joker's murder of Todd. In the third, do a Drake origin, maybe even blended with the Hush storyline -- and end with Todd re-emerging as the Red Hood.

You could certainly focus it more than that ... maybe with just two Robins. Follow Grayson's story arc from Robin to Nightwing, and Todd's from Robin to Red Hood over three movies. Drake may clog things up too much for one trilogy.

I'm going to keep clamoring for a Year 100 inspired movie. It makes too much sense with the way the Nolan films ended.

Don't expect it to happen. They're going to distance themselves from the Nolan films (not in a bad way) when they reboot. These will be more comic book like in how they come across.
