I'm a high end collectible snob as much as the next guy, but NECA's likeness, sculpt and accuracy to the cowl, torso armor, etc. is much more accurate than this PF.

NECA even sculpted the seam in the back of the cowl that we see during the "I'm Batman" scene. Sideshow? They didn't. So when someone says this is the best 1/4 '89 Batman around, I say they haven't owned the NECA version. NECA will churn out crappy, breakable, shoddy paint products on occasion, I'm no apologist, but their 1/4 Batman figures have been real beauts. They did a great job on them.

Not even close. The face is too long and the ears on the cowl are waaaaaay too thin, like those plastic devil horns you get from novelty shops.

I own the neca 1/4 batman. It's good but I still believe there is a type of caliber that we are buying into when we get a sideshow piece. Let's take for instance the neca batman. The looks, cape, mask and most everything was fantastic on this beast and it's under 100 bucks. Pictures do no justification we have to wait and see how the overall product will turn out. Even in the neca picture everyone is posting there is some deviations away from their original product. Everyone that didn't push the button on this is going to be whining after it comes out and it's amazing. Watch a see!

I used to have a lot of 1/4 Neca stuff. No comparison, Neca looks nice from 6 feet away, but just has a cheap look/feel you don't get with a statue. I think the comic version leaves open some interpretation on looks where this one is supposed to be a specific person exactly how they looked in a movie. There were plenty of complaints about the comic one too though; pits, dark paint on face, overdone SS leg up pose, etc... so I would say they are both about equal in praise/complaints. I still like them both and have the comic now and Keaton on PO.

Saggy pits, giraffe neck, cloth outfit, awkward looking pose and bulky body. Before I get dog piled on, IT'S JUST MY OPINION And yes I do have this statue, I've got it all boxed up waiting for me to pull the trigger to have it converted into a full sculpt.

I doubt will ever see another 1:4 scale Keaton Batman, at least not for a very long time... IMO this will be a sought after statue later down the road....

this looks fine in person. Michael Keaton's likeness doesn't scream out in this piece, but during most of the atmospheric scenes of the movie, it was hard to tell it was even him.

From Beetlejuice to Batman... the transition was pretty remarkable.
