it's obviously not to "Everyone else" because at the Time batman was one of the most popular characters in fiction before the film came out.

And Secondly My whole point is that it didn't make him new or different, he was already Dark and Brooding, angry and a vigilante. The only thing the film did was bring that attitude of Batman that had already been done to a wider audience. That's why it's not a redifining moment, because it was already in place. To say that the film was that moment discounts and discredits what had already happened.

And saying that "the only thing the film did was bring it to a wider audience" discounts and discredits Mike Uslan, Tim Burton, Michael Keaton, Warner Bros. Sam Hamm, etc.

I for one never saw Batman portrayed as he was in 1989 before 1989. I never remember him being so quiet. I don't remember him having a labyrinth of computer consoles because he was so paranoid on surveillance with the city. I don't recall Alfred raising him since he was a kid. I never saw Batman cloaked in black segmented armor, I never saw that angst filled sculpted cowl. I never saw a suit vault/armory, I never saw cool plated steel gauntlets and boots that could deflect bullets. I never saw that trusty grapple gun. I never saw Batman fighting crime alone. Not until 1989.

The 89 Batman was mind blowing at the time and not just due to Keaton and the production team but because of Jack. He made joker Hella scary even for adults. It was a dark dark movie at the time.

I remember the 70's comics being dark... Dark enough that as a five year old there was one with Man Bat that made me slightly scared.

89 Batman made everyone aware that the Bat was dark... Comic readers already knew this... the general public did not. It's not that complicated.

So while I believe that 89 Batman is a terribly flawed film with an average story and poorly done action scenes. It did have a great cast and look and It did change how comic book movies and characters were viewed. So yes... It redefined the character for a wider audience.

Nolan Batman films redefined the "movie" batman in that it asked.... What would happen if this was real life? It took the character out of the comics and into the real world. 89 Batman still had that comic book feel. So I would say that the Nolan Batman films slightly redefined how we saw Batman... But not nearly as much as 89 batman. Again I am speaking from the Batman film Universe and it's impact on the general public.

Yea I think the exclusive is not a "necessary" piece. I have it and since I do, I happen to use it and like it, but it's hard to really see and if I had had to get a regular I wouldn't have cared one way or the other.

I too was blown away at the size of this piece when I was opening it up. The base and stairs were definitely bigger than I was expecting. It was a nice surprise though. For some reason I had picture them being lower and more condensed. Not as big and grandiose as they really are. They add so much to the piece for me, I wouldn't have them any other way.

Anyone have issues getting the foot peg to go in all of the way? (I'm sure it was in a previous post somewhere but I'm too lazy to look). If so, how can I correct this? Any ideas?

Try using a fabric pipe cleaner to clean the hole,barring that try using a little vaseline.
